Are mathematics scary? For the vast majority the answer is yes. Are they an tortuous creation of our minds or do they exist as themselves? This question still divides the initiated... Nevertheless they are filled with beauty and mystery.

For his great comeback Cubic Spline planned a series of 4 EPs that will ultimately constitute a journey through mathematical concepts that tickled his mind. On this first volume, two entries:

"01 - Möbius Strip" - The Möbius strip is a remarkable shape whose two visible faces are in fact only one, forming an endless loop.

"02 - Harmonogram" - When a complex pendulum starts drawing, it gives a harmonogram. The strange appearance of the EP cover is the result.

This series is dedicated to my late friend Olivier, may you enjoy it as well !

02 - Harmonogram

Comment appréhender nos émotions les plus intimes, les plus violentes ? Ou bien nos questionnements à jamais insolvables tels les grands mystères fondamentaux de l'Homme ?

La verbalisation de ces maux est vaine.

Alors fabriquons des images, des sons, usons des matières et des symboles de notre monde et éclairons le chemin vers la réalité une réalité plus tangible que celle de notre quotidien. Une réalité qui voit au-delà de notre conscience et nous permet de ressentir ce qu'il y a au plus profond de nous. 

Pénétrez dans les profondeurs de vos entrailles, fouillez en vous tel les explorateurs maudits de la cité de R'lyeh, dont la curiosité dévorante les a poussés en avant malgré l'horreur qui les attendait.

Les ténèbres sont vos alliés, suivez leur marche, la quête commence.
