Since its first outing in 2004, Matthew Dear’s AUDION
guise has predominantly acted as a darker, edgier
commentary to the pop-infused house concoctions to
be found under the producer’s birth name. A twisted
reflection of sorts, it contemplated electronic music
through the lens of grime-flecked techno and sinewy
funk - resulting in relentless floor-fillers like the aptly
named “Kisses”, “Just Fucking” or “Mouth To Mouth”.
Compared to the itchy momentum and carnal damp of
these freak classics, the sophisticated elegance of new
offering DEM HOWL is rather unexpected: chaperoned
by the emotionally charged timbre of TROELS
ABRAHAMSEN’s vocals - first introduced to Kompakt’s
vocabulary via Kölsch’s “All That Matters” -, this cut
steers away from the battle-scarred body music of yore
and towards the more introspective moments on the
dance floor - without sacrificing one iota of the
precisely engineered groove machinery that is Audion.
“This song was a product of the modern age we live in”,
says Matthew Dear about DEM HOWL’s genesis: ”I heard
a song with Troels singing on it and immediately fell in love
with his voice. I found him online and directly messaged
him about collaborating. He happily agreed and I sent him
the instrumental - he promptly came up with the lyrics and
melody and sent them back to me. A few days after that, I
had the song complete and ready to go. All in all, it took
about a week from the idea to a fully-fledged new piece of
music.” However, the straightforward production does not
keep the track from incubating his own mysteries - deeply
steeped in melancholia, it displays theurgic qualities and
seamlessly transitions from emotional to somatic urgency
without batting so much as an eyelash. Gripping remixes
come from Kompakt head MICHAEL MAYER and Dutch
maestro JORIS VOORN (digital only) who cater to the
enthusiasts of evocative bells and homeric synth pads -
beautiful mood pieces just as immersive and timeless as
the original.

Music from the Legends of Fire and Kings (LOFK) universe — an epic fantasy realm of ancient songs, dragon bloodlines, crystalline kingdoms, cosmic leviathans, and the dragon princess Azura ben Az Bethlen Gol’Dragus vel Uldar, known across the realms as The Fire Blossom.

Her tale unfolds in the hidden gardens of Ulyria, where dragon gods breathe light into the sanctuary kingdom of the Flower Dragons. Among forbidden forests and bioluminescent groves, mycelial gateways open between worlds. Every song is a spell-song inspired by Azura’s journey — her awakening, her lineage, her fire, and her destiny.

LOFK’s sound blends soulful neo-soul vocals with ambient-house, chillout, downtempo, and ethereal R&B textures, creating music that feels like walking through crystal forests or flying beside celestial dragons. Warm Rhodes chords, analog pads, jazzy guitar, deep kicks, whispered affirmations, and healing 528 Hz frequencies weave together into spiritual soundscapes shaped by the ancient Drakthari of Uldar and their dragon goddess, Hu’Ullah.

This is music for receiving, remembering, and rising.

French citizen Olivier Mateu stands for sophisticated and musical techno music, released on imprints like F Com, Mobilee and Systematic. His productions always have a certain 'something' which a many producers cannot deliver, fuelled by passion and love.

'Mistral' was originally released on the '10 yrs of Systematic' compilation on CD only, but after a massive public demand it was clear that it must be released on vinyl and backed by new remixes.

Who else could we chose but the labels most popular artists, label head Marc Romboy and Stephan Bodzin. Reworking the original in their own unique way, both deliver epic, energetic and symphonic versions!!!

Hungry Music has the kind of waterproof musical aesthetic that not many labels with under twenty releases under their belt have. The output is bold and atmospheric at same time. Travels through misty soundscapes are just one of their trademarks. The french label established its sound through a close circle of friends - namely, Worakls, N’to & Joachim Pastor.

It’s now time to let some of the most powerful recent releases get re-interpreted through six exclusive remixes.

The Hungry gang took on each others work and also invited luminaries and friends of the label such as Oliver Koletzki, Einmusik and Boris Brejcha to provide a mix for the first in a series of upcoming remix EPs.
