AS Saytek and Mark Gwinnett’s Cubism label marks its 15th year anniversary this year, the label is preparing 3 EPs each containing 5 brand new tracks each as we continue to look to the future. The first edition is here, welcome to the Cubism 5X3 EP series.

These 3 EPs will sit alongside the FI5X3EN album which features 20 of the best tracks from the last 5 years of the label. This forthcoming album marks our third 5 year milestone, a collection which follows our previous acclaimed 5IVE and T3N albums and is due for release towards the end of the year. Keep your ears out for that.

Here, Cubism 5X3 - Volume 1 is released next month. This first instalment features a diverse range of exclusive electronic music by Cubism co-founder Tony Thomas, Cubism and The Night Bazaar’s Mark Gwinnett under his Lunacy Sound Division alias alongside friends of the label JP Chronic, Subk0de and Boston George.

A diverse first instalment of the 5X3 series, Volume 1 encapsulates what Cubism is all about. Electronic dance music aimed firmly at the dance floor, each piece of work doing the business in its own unique and unexpected way.

Cubism is the label of Mark Gwinnett and Saytek.

Founded in 2007 by Mark and Tony Thomas with a clear vision of releasing quality house and techno, under the careful supervision of Mark and Saytek, the label continues to do just that.

Cubism is supported by a wide spectrum of the world’s finest DJs across the underground and occasionally too the more tuned in commercial artist.

The label has a simple formula and is a labor of love by the Cubism family. An honest platform for underground, rocking, electronic dance-floor grooves and an outlet for the music of Saytek, Mark under his Lunacy Sound Division alias and friends of the label.

The label also hosts the occasional epic showcase most notably at dens such as fabric, Egg, The Source, Cargo, Rhythm Factory and The Shelter in London. The east end has always been a big influence on the sounds released on the imprint.
