Most notoriously known for heading up the goliath project that is Southpoint, KXVU has been making a lot of noise as of late. Both as a DJ and as a producer. Simply Deep are extremely happy to present his brand new, orchestrally inspired EP; ‘Guinevere’. Featuring 3, highly intensive, original grime creations, KXVU takes a look back at the sounds that originally gave him the interest in 140 based music.

The title track is based on emotive strings patterns and woodwind melodies. As an arrangement it is designed to represent the unpredictability of early Woad warfare. Next up, the more dubstep infused stylings of ‘Lancelot’, bringing forward more rugged styles and distorted bass frequencies, letting the other orchestral elements ride freely above. Finally we look at ‘Artorius Castor’, which returns to the more string based intensity of the title track, with a lower foundation of rolling 808’s and subs. On remix duty Simply Deep regular Opus steps forward with his stripped back techy rework of ‘Guinevere’, whilst Hamdi makes another appearance on the label with his highly imaginative dubstep-like recreation of ‘Lancealot’, based of rolling subs encircling the lead vocal patterns.

KXVU is a good friend to the Simply Deep family, and are super excited to be putting forward his second solo project of 2017 together.

The track is entitled ‘Shab’ which sounds to be heavily influenced from early dubstep and grime melodies intertwined with eastern instruments while rumbling bass cones from the pressure of the sub groove.
