As far as effort going into a single track, this song likely far exceeds pretty much anything else I ever worked on. Whether or not the final product lives up to the enormous amount energy I poured into it, I learned a lot and I believe definitely grew from the experience. 

This song was written as the final chapter in a story about the next stage in the evolution of the universe, involving a confrontation between the oldest race of beings and the creator of the universe itself, a being unable to comprehend the existence of any consciousness outside of its own, having existed for an unfathomable length of time in complete isolation before accidentally birthing reality out of its own loneliness. 

Along for the ride is an intrepid wide-eyed group of human explorers unwittingly caught up in this reality redefining event.

Karl Jenkins' Palladio seems to get some internet criticism for being too simplistic. Whatever you think of the original piece, we think it was tailor-made for 8-bit Mega Man style! This sounds like a rocking Wily machine boss fight to us. :)
