Calest is an artist based in Charlotte, NC. He has roots in Baltimore, MD and Winston Salem, NC also. His music is an expression of this, somewhat, being influenced by the current state of this southern american society. He does not, however, allow this to box him in creatively. Listeners are drawn into his rhythmic paintings often painting a story of the human condition relatable to most despite any social differences they may share. He has a real skill in connecting with others on a personal level which shines in his performances.
