One of underground techno’s most gifted hypnotists, Vegim sits on two decades worth of highly-rated releases across labels including Clergy, Planet Rhythm and his own TMM Recordings. 

Vegim’s mix for Codeword darts across cosmic landscapes with flashes and bleeps, pounding bass and ferocious, dark intensity.

In February I played at @foldldn for the @codeword-london launch of my Stream State compilation. The night was perfect - exactly what I was craving from a club night in London, with an intimacy that I haven't felt in years in the UK - and with recent events pre-corona threatening FOLD's existence, we were all so happy to pull that night off! Happening a month or so before the Corona lockdowns hit, with @efdemin and @jamaicasuk both on top form, it was instantly one of my highlights of the past years, so I recorded this mix for Codeword's monthly show on @threadsradio in honour of that sweet night in the East End! A big shout out to @cukier-codeword at Codeword for all his hard work and a great collab. Hope you enjoy the mix - it was recorded in one take at Studio Db in Berlin. Lots of new stuff and forthcoming Counterchange cuts in here, plus some well-tested favourites. X

Codeword is delighted to host Yonti (@yontii), a resident of Tel Aviv’s celebrated queer/gay underground techno party, Pag TLV (@pagtlv), and a co-owner of Alphabet Club (@alphabet-tel-aviv). At only 22 years old, Yonti has quickly established himself as one of Tel Aviv’s leading techno DJs, playing regularly at the techno institution, The Block (@theblocktlv), as well as underground fixtures, Alphabet Club and Habreakfast (@breakfastclubtlv). Yonti’s 1h contribution for Codeword on @threadsradio is a signature mix of deep, dark and drony techno with groove and drive to push the dancefloor forward.

Codeword w/ olesia (Threads Radio - 9 Aug 2020)

Codeword welcomes @JonasLandwehr, artist and co-founder of R-Imprint label (@rawimprint) based in Bielefeld, West Germany and radio show-host on Rinse France. Landwehr has recently put out releases on Blocaus Paris and The Third Room, alongside the likes of Surgeon, Peter Van Hoesen and Henning Baer, as well as on Monoloc’s Unterland label. Landwehr is making headway for his creativity and dynamic approach to techno output with his music-focused contributions to the scene and innovative uses of online media, including his new YouTube show w/ partner-in-crime, Felix Fleer (also on the show this month). As a DJ who has played regularly at Korner (Taipei) as well as at Alphabet Club (Tel Aviv) and across Germany and mainland Europe, his sound is a mix of deep techno and broken beats and his 1h guestmix for Codeword is masterfully controlled, hypnotic, dubby and deep.

Codeword welcomes @FelixFleer, artist and co-founder of R-Imprint label (@rawimprint) based in Bielefeld, West Germany and radio show-host on Rinse France. Fleer has recently released music on Semantica Records, Inland’s Counterchange Recordings as well as The Third Room and his own R-Imprint label. Fleer has made significant contributions to both his local club scene as well as digitally across Europe. This is also evident in his productions, which are intense, rhythmic and unconventional and demonstrate both his technical and musical talent. Codeword is delighted to host Mavka (@mavkalisovaa)– Ukrainian DJ, producer and founding promoter of @dopamine_vibes and the ШАБАШ (“Sabbath”) party-series in Lviv, Ukraine. Mavka is a rising star within Ukraine’s burgeoning techno scene, playing at some of the country’s freshest underground techno festivals and clubs.  Mavka’s music is dark, deep and often-psychedelic, evoking the sounds of nature’s landscapes and underpinned by an intense drumbeat. Mavka’s 90-minute mix for Codeword on @threadsradio traverses ambient and hypnotic deep-techno, towards gritty and sexy sounds which conjure up the intensity of Lviv’s dancefloors.

The Italian producer and DJ has made a major impact in a short space of time, with acclaimed releases on A R T S @artsltd (including his recent “Limitless” EP), Planet Rhythm @planetrhythmrec, Edit Select Records @editselect and @suara. This has led to gigs at clubs including @KHIDI, Griessemuhle, Gare and Vurt as well as in Japan, Colombia and the US. Mazzilli’s 1h mix for Codeword on @threadsradio oscillates between deeper textures and dancefloor pounders, giving a flavour of the raw, intense energy that permeates Mazzilli’s output.

Codeword welcomes 7XINS, the London-based live act, producer, DJ and sound engineer at FOLD, London. 7XINS has recently released a four-track EP on EarToGround Records, “Assassinating The Truth” – dark side, peak-time techno not for the faint-hearted. This follows successful previous releases on EarToGround’s LDNwht series as well as tracks and remixes on What Came First and Helle Hölle. A well-loved core member at FOLD since its opening, 7XINS has been a staple resident of FOLD’s Sunday party, UnFOLD, as well as extended parties, alongside the likes of Dax J, Bas Mooy, UVB and Gareth Wild. Known for his impressive live act, 7XINS’ sound fuses darker techno with bleeps, drones and bass, expertly manipulating machinery and hardware. 7XINS has played across London, Geneva and Poland. His mix for Codeword on Threads Radio encompasses dance-floor-ready peak-time tracks as well as darker, atmospheric techno.

Codeword welcomes In Half Light (aka Michael Wells), the Berlin-based London-born DJ, producer and label boss of Weekend Circuit. In Half Light has recently released music on In Silent Series, Metempsychosis Records and his own Weekend Circuit label, including a collaboration with Ossa Di Mare and with remixes from Lucy and SHXCXCHCXSH. In Half Light is also due to release a track on UVB-76 early next year and is working on his first solo EP. As label boss, Wells has released music from the likes of P.E.A.R.L., Kwartz, YYYY, Alfredo Mazzilli and Pär Grindvik. As a DJ, Michael Wells/ In Half Light has played regularly at Corsica Studios, Tresor, Griessmuehle as well as in Tbilisi, Amsterdam, Bogota and Buenos Aires. In Half Light’s mix for Codeword on Threads Radio is a rolling, hypnotic, dance-floor-focused stomper with intensity, depth and groove.
