Midnight Science

Drawing from influences including Chick Corea, Spyro Gyra, and T-SQUARE, this song has a sweet but mysterious introduction. Once the groove is established, the song takes a dark and mystifying turn, introducing the driving motifs in the Aeolian mode and making more use of somewhat unstable modes in the solos (Phrygian & Locrian). 
The area currently known as Portugal and Spain has changed hands many times across the ages and collectively makes up what was formerly known as the kingdom of Iberia - the caves of which feature some of the oldest man-made drawings.
