Subsquad Prod present the fourth part of our serie of compilation, the CITY SQUAD. Each part will present the dub makers of a city (and its surroundings) through a compilation of exclusive tunes that will be available for free download.

After Bordeaux, Grenoble and Marseille/Aix, this new part is dedicated to Lille and her neighborhood, and presents 15 producers from this area. You can also discover, on our website, a list of local Sound Systems and a short historic of Dub in this department.

Musicien, technicien, bricoleur, yAyoland élabore un son produit à partir de divers synthétiseurs et autres instruments contenant parfois des samples des voix.
Il pratique un dub électronique à l’aide des différentes machines et sans ordinateur !
Le nouvel album « LostRotten&Forgotten » contiens 10 titres évoquent un dub personnel où se confronte les sonorités digitales avec des lignes de basse et une rythmique parfois puisée dans le dub roots et la techno.
Les compositions de ce troisième album possèdent toutes la même couleur originale, fruit d’un travail acharné sur les sampleurs et autres séquenceurs.
Avec une participation de la voix de Lisa Bennet pour le morceau « Fia in your eyes » inspiré d'une song de WuDub (Belgique) ainsi que RaztaMama pour le morceau « W dolinie dubinkow » fait à partir d'une song de FatPajp (Pologne).
Le morceau « Pas un Ninjah » est inspiré de « Man of the World » de Yasuharu Takanashi qui fait partie de la bande originale du dessin animé « Naruto Shippuden ».
La pochette est dessinée par « Mysz »

Heureux de vous présenter « Short Therapy ». Comme vous le remarquerez les arrangements, le mixage et le mastering sont assurés par Pilah, guitariste du mythique groupe Kaly Live Dub et co-fondateur du Dub Addict Sound System. C'est donc avec une joie toute particulière que je vous partage cet opus en libre-téléchargement car au delà d'un groupe qui a marqué ma jeunesse et la scène dub européen, Kaly Live Dub est une entité que j'adore depuis le premier album car ils ont tout de suite réussi à se distinguer par leur côté cérébral, organique, ambitieux et parfois complexe, se démarquant en cela des propositions d'High Tone ou de Zenzile, que j'aime aussi mais pour d'autres raisons. En appelant Paul que j'avais déjà eu l'occasion de croiser à plusieurs reprises, je cherchais cette singularité et cette manière de travailler, alors quand il a répondu oui à ma proposition, je me suis fait une joie de lui envoyer mes multipistes qu'il s'est lui-même empressé de bricoler, déstructurer et remixer. Nous avons échangé de nombreuses fois par téléphone et j'ai découvert une personnalité à l'image de sa musique : singulière, passionnée, parfois fantasque et toujours professionnel. Bref une belle aventure humaine et musicale que je suis très heureux de vous partager. J'espère que ça vous plaira !
