Australian/Asian artist Sinista M (named Mason Lai) was raised in Perth, Western Australia. Born in September 19th 2005, Sinista M always had a passion for entertainment as his peers always described him as Playful and Energetic. In 2018, Sinista M was under the alias SMMG when he made a YouTube channel, poorly making commentary videos and skits. In Early 2019, Mason took inspiration from KSI, Logan Paul & Miniminter, making Diss Tracks which he uploaded on YouTube against his friends as a joke.

He then later took on a passion for music as his parents would always play it around the house. With his mother, she would typically play artists such as Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Halsey & Ed Sheeran. When with his father, he would typically play artists such as Arctic Monkeys, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Everything Everything & Nirvana. But around the time of early 2019, Sinista M would take interest in artist such as Juice WRLD, Ski Mask The Slump God, XXXTENTACION & Trippie Redd.

It wasn’t till the time of early 2020, Sinista M would start making music on his iPad which he recorded with at the time. After that he got his first microphone which he recorded on the software “Audacity” with little to no mixing and poor lyrics. Once receiving the current microphone he has, those projects and songs were later deleted due to lack of quality and embarrassment.

Taking inspiration from Juice WRLD, The Kid LAROI, XXXTENTACION, Lil Peep & Trippie Redd. Sinista M has taken genres such as Emo Rap, Hype Rap, Punk Rock, Pop & Hyperpop and meshed it into his music style and his discography. Sinista M stated “If it weren’t for my favourite artists and my parents having a passion for music themselves, I would’ve never found interest in what I do toady” “I don’t want to be labeled as a one dimensional artist , I just want to make music that everyone will enjoy” “People ask why I make depressing music with mind speaking lyrics. It’s because I want to make music people can relate to a never feel alone”


In the year 2021 he would later record the well known songs in his catalog such as ANIME BITCH, WHY SO SERIOUS & FEELING along with projects such as “WELCOME TO THE PARTY” & “MONO” which he recorded with his good friend JPWeed which unfortunately later quit after the project as of lack of motivation. Sinista M would also record with artists such as takytheartist, Helmet Head, Kid Kyro and was even invited to be apart of a team known as “BRK” lead by the artists such as Jay Anime, Kid Kyro & HBK Sean.
