A powerhouse of musicians based in Los Angeles composing and performing Urban Cumbia since 2010. The ensemble consist of:

Are highlighting ways in which Cumbia can grow by the syncopation of powerful urban beats, modern song structure and melodic rock undertones. From its origins in the coastal towns of Colombia to dance floors across the world, Los Angeles has become raptured in the Urban Cumbia renaissance as HIJOS DE LA TIERRA, along with other iconic bands, spear head the movement and future of Cumbia. HIJOS DE LA TIERRA shows promise and along the way, venues, fans and those along for the ride are benefiting from what’s to take hold of the collective consciousness, a rhythmic and melodic celebration of life!

Grammy Honored singer, songwriter, producer. From Philadelphia "The City of Brotherly Love" to L.A. "The City Of Angels" has been the musical journey for this former disc jockey. He has gone from singing with popular West Chester Pa, group called "The Superbs", to collaborating with multi Grammy Award Winner Keb Mo on his "Keep It Simple" album which won for Best Contemporary Album in 2004. In between he was discovered and signed to his first record deal by the legendary Curtis Mayfield. He has performed and worked with various artists thru his production company LoveLyte Musique, producing for film/TV, jingles etc. With a jazz drummin dad and a baritone singing grandfather, it wasn’t long before the music bug bit and La Rombé was infected with the infectious grooves and sweet melodies of Motown and his hometown…Philly, among others. His musical style is a blend of classic & contemporary RnB which he dubbed “Phila-Fornia Soul”. Its “Grown Folks Music” that even young folks enjoy!       
He’s done pop, hip-hop, contemporary blues and has worked with a wide range of artist and writers- specializing in artist development.  
After surviving a near fatal automobile accident, LaRombé decided to make the most of his 2nd chance and finally put together a collection of his works which resulted in the independent album releases “Cozmic Soul” “PhilaFornia Soul” “Bunnys Boy” “The BLACKlash” and 2022 release 
“The Cali-Cool”, plus various singles.
La Rombé is also a former DJ with WAUP fm in Akron. He volunteers his services performing for the L.A. County prison system and takes great pleasure entertaining seniors in nursing facilities. He also has stage and film acting experience and is a former staff writer for the L.A. Times.  company paper. He can be seen performing in the LA area with the likes of Keb Mo and others as well as his own solo act.

Originating from UCLA, We the Folk began as a trio performing impromptu shows in public spaces around campus. Student demand rapidly transformed these “pop up” performances into dance parties and official campus events. By headlining the World Music and Movement Festival and opening for David Grisman as part of the Center of the Art of Performance in Royce Hall, We the Folk grew into a recognizable campus presence. 

As a quintet, We The Folk began playing shows in Downtown LA such as Villains Tavern, the One Eyed Gypsy and The Witzend. Through multiple residencies, We The Folk has established a signature sound that defies categorization, enveloping their audiences in a dynamic and energetic experience.

Miguel Frasconi is a composer and improviser whose instrumentarium includes glass objects, electronics and instruments of his own design. His glass objects are struck, blown, stroked, smashed and otherwise coaxed into vibration, while his unique approach to composition takes a similar approach, yet solely in the sonic domain. His array of activities have included collaborations with the Balinese composer Dewa Berata on music for a large-scale shadowplay, with operatic tenor John Duykers on unique music/theater events, and with the Tibetan songwriter Techung, with whom he has toured throughout India. He has composed chamber music, most recently for Ensemble IPSE; operas, most recently for Experiments in Opera; and numerous dance scores, most notably as music director for dance pioneer Anna Halprin. In 2017 his live score for Ripe Time’s production of Haruki Murakami’s Sleep was performed at the BAM Next Wave Festival. Miguel has works closely with composers John Cage, Morton Subotnick, Pauline Oliveros, James Tenney, Joan La Barbara, and Jon Hassell. In 2012 the New York Times called his CAGE100 Festival @ The Stone "one of the best observances of John Cage's 100th birthday" and included performances by his Noisy Toy Piano Orchestra and John Cage Variety Show Big Band. He was a founding member of The Glass Orchestra, the internationally renowned ensemble featuring all glass instruments (1977-86), and the San Francisco sound-sculpture band Mobius Operandi (1990-95) and has performed as a keyboardist with the Paul Dresher Ensemble (1988-95) and the Philip Glass Ensemble (1992). His music has been released on New Albion, Porter, and Clang.
