New York City's own Candy Shop Boys have been captivating audiences with their unique and swinging style since 2009.  They thrill sold-out crowds every Saturday night at the elegant supper club Duane Park, laying the musical foundation for New York's finest burlesque dancers, singers and razor sharp MC's - from their founder, "The Shimmering Chanteuse of Burlesque" ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Melody Sweets, to the laugh a minute Showbiz Master, Mr. M​urray Hill. They continue to push the boundaries of live performance with their high energy, musicianship, and showmanship. ​​​​​​

​The quintet features 4-time ASCAP Award-winning bandleader Jesse Elder on piano, Matt Parker on tenor sax, Scott Tixier on violin, Kenball Zwerin on bass, and Arthur Vint on drums. They are joined often by the show stopping songbird Sophia Urista, whose ability to both shock and awe audiences keeps them coming back for more. This talented and versatile ensemble performs a rich repertoire of jazz from the 1920's, 30's and 40's in the tradition of King Oliver, Fats Waller, Cab Calloway and Duke Ellington, as well as clever and original arrangements of rock classics from the 60's and 70's.  

The Candy Shop Boys have been featured performers at The Sweets Shop and The Tassel Room at Duane Park, the Manderlay Bar at Sleep No More, and The Darby. In 2010, they were featured at the Burlesque Hall of Fame competition in Las Vegas backing up burlesque superstar Melody Sweets. They released their debut recording, ​Sugarfoot Stomp​, in April of 2013 featuring Ms. Urista on vocals.
