Inspired by the poem "The Peace of Wild Things" by the American poet Wendall Berry.

When despair for the world grows in me
and I wake in the night at the least sound
in fear of what my life and my children’s lives may be,
I go and lie down where the wood drake
rests in his beauty on the water, and the great heron feeds.
I come into the peace of wild things
who do not tax their lives with forethought
of grief. I come into the presence of still water.
And I feel above me the day-blind stars
waiting with their light. For a time
I rest in the grace of the world, and am free.

I was listening to Mount Eerie and a crow looked at me
Just like his album’s called and it reminded me 
Maybe that crow is you but then again it might just be me

Everybody’s sins melts away like ice
And I’ll never forget what you did or what you stood you for

Horses in the fields frolicking far and wide in acres of foxgloves and white tulips
Just like that bouquet I was sent the day you died
It's the first time I've gotten flowers and after this I hope it’s the last 
For no amount of meaning could be given or surpass this because I forgave you dad.

You can now bury your own past.
Everything is settled.
The plague is over.
Stop dancing around the conversations.
It's done.
