The Story of You was a long time coming... I started writing it while we were in the studio recording "In Between the Blinks" So a handful of the songs have been with us, and played, for over a year. I feel like the growth that has occurred in the last year has been so vast, and the record really speaks to that for me. The growth of the band in members, and I think this summer/fall was a really transformative time for all of us. I was working through a lot of stuff, sealed up a couple last bits of my past, getting used to touring and the ups and downs involved there. I think David and Karl were both figuring it out as we went as well. I think the understanding and acceptance that followed every bout of struggle is what we are here for. It is all a part of the story... So accept, forgive, and love YOUR STORY. It’s the only one you got ;-)
