Excerpt from the Book of Restoration, Volume VI: Chronicles of the Heart of Umbraqua
Year 3489, after the Fall of the Nephesh Reactor

I. The Steam-Raisers
*"When the last sweet stream dried up in the basins of the world, humanity did not look to the sky for water—it stared into the abyss, and the abyss stared back. It was then that the Threshold Scientists—half theologians, half engineers—constructed the Nephesh, the Reactor of Temporal Inversion, in the hollow heart of what was once Antarctica. The region came to be known as Umbraqua: the place where time drips.

Its core was forged from fractal gold and frozen boson crystal, and its purpose was simple yet monstrous: to open a channel to fertile futures, slicing through the timeline beyond the age of the Great Drought, and to draw water through the tear.

The Nephesh operated by inducing controlled interactions between axions and dark matter within a cage of broken symmetry. When these particles collided under conditions of induced gravitational vacuum, they generated a supersymmetric micro-vortex—a point where the laws of time reversed, and energy behaved as negative mass. Through this node—a rift of quintaflux—the reactor captured the physical state of water in possible futures and transmuted it into the present.

Theologians called it the Dissonant Gate, for the hum it emitted during operation—a dissonant hum, yet strangely pleasing. And it brought rain, indeed. For the first nine years, rivers reappeared like veins beneath the scorched earth, and the world began to flicker blue once more in the orbits of satellites."*

II. Time That Drips Backward
*"With the reactor stabilized, humanity celebrated its Second Age of Water. The Nephesh pulsed future-liters through its subchronic chamber, filtering time as though it were a dense fluid. The seasons shifted. Moss returned to the walls, oxygen to the lungs, plants to the rooftops. Even extinct species crossed the vortex as dormant spores, activated by the portal’s graviton field.

But everything taken causes imbalance. The timeline of the future began to collapse. Echoes appeared: inverted human shadows walking backward through freshly born valleys. The reactor no longer extracted just water, but footprints, memories, entire structures. Cities were besieged by temporal reflections, and in every puddle of rain, one could glimpse a sky from another epoch.

It was the year the Nephesh began to whisper—in inhuman frequencies."*

III. The Wound and the Vortex
*"The explosion was nonlinear. There was no sound—only an implosion of causality. The reactor collapsed inward and then... remained. Suspended. As if refusing to obey the laws that had birthed it. A vortex emerged without name: not water, not light, not time. A new essence.

Where desolation should have lingered, the world began to green of its own accord. The vortex stood still, like an eye fixed in the earthly firmament, exhaling life. It was not water from the future—it was life beyond time. Ageless moss. Roots growing backward and forward. Beasts without ancestry. Each continent began to give birth to jungles where only dust had been, and the machines could no longer interpret the climate.

Today, generations later, we call this phenomenon the Dissonant Gate. We no longer touch it. We no longer understand it. We only know that it is there—latent. Whispering. That all which was dead now lives, and all that lives is being remade. Earth, against all odds, has forgiven itself."

C'est l'histoire d'un monstre et d'un oiseau, d'une course effrénée entre deux entités que tout oppose, dans une jungle de béton dont le décors défile, strillé du vert des plantes sauvages qui poussent dans les fissures, les interstices sombres ou la vie reprends ses droits.
C'est un combat et une poursuite tout autant qu'une déclaration d'amour, un paradoxe énergétique qui les attire dans un éclair lumineux. La solitude du monstre, sa noirceur trouve un échappatoire dans la légèreté de l'oiseau, l'oiseau trouve une catharsis dans la noirceur du monstre.
Car c'est toujours ensemble, en oubliant nos préjugés, en allant vers l'inconnu, en éprouvant la lumière ,en la diffusant, en l'aimant, que notre ombre prends sa place, et que nos paradoxes deviennent complémentaires, et nous permettent d'être enfin au monde, serein. 
Libérez le monstre en vous, libérez l'oiseau, et laissez les se parler!

It is the story of a monster and a bird, of a frantic race between two beings that everything opposes, in a concrete jungle whose scenery scrolls, streaked with the green of the wild plants that grow in the cracks, the dark interstices where life regains its rights.
It's a fight and a pursuit as much as a declaration of love, an energetic paradox that attract them in a flash of light. The loneliness of the monster, its darkness finds an escape in the lightness of the bird, the bird finds a catharsis in the darkness of the monster.
Because it is always together, by forgetting our prejudices, by going towards the unknown, by experiencing the light, by diffusing it, by loving it, that our shadow takes its place, and that our paradoxes become complementary, and allow us to finally be in the world, serene.
Unleash the monster within you, unleash the bird, and let them talk to each other!
