A year later, we decided to release the recording of Konifer's ( @konifer ) ambient set which accompanied ELLEM's ( @ellem_blanca ) movement&meditation guidance (Monday morning, Burning Man 2022). Due to extraordinary rains on the playa, the 2023 temple burn was moved to Tuesday night (it usually occurs on Sunday night). While we could not be on playa this year, we know the endurance required even on a normal year to brave the sun, dust storms, cold nights. Respect to those who are still on playa, having weathered the storm, awaiting the temple burn. See you in the desert again someday...

The Curtis Radio "10 songs only" series keep gaining momentum, the list of very special guests keeps growing strong and today we reach episode number 25 with another top musical talent and international star. We follow DJ Vadim's extended and highly prolific career since day one. It was the early 90s and Vadim aka The Dub Catcher was already on our radar as he was starting from a foundation in instrumental hip hop and releasing great music on his label Jazz Fudge and in seminal UK imprint Ninja Tune too. But a voracious appetite for musical discovery and experimentation made it impossible to pigeonhole and restrict his musical palette to just one genre or style. Both in the studio (with 17 albums released to date)and in stages and DJ booths around the world (over 3000 gigs in 78 countries) he has achieved a trademark and highly personal Vadim sound that combines hip hop, reggae, dancehall, bass culture, latin, disco, funk, world sounds, and beyond. So it's with great pleasure that today we present here 10 songs that represent and matter in the always soul-lifting and colorful musical world of DJ Vadim. The latest installment in the Monopod series comes from the September 2011 Return To Mono night, which featured a 4 hour set from Slam.

This was the first hour of music in the club so expect a warm and dubby welcome to the Sub Club as people start to arrive and take their first steps on the dancefloor.

Very few have the capacity or grit to maintain longevity within dance and electronic music, many have tried but become swept up amidst the chaos and strife of the industry in a fickle and uncompromising climate. Bushwacka! is a producer and disc jockey with whom many will be familiar and fond - he remains a UK icon of sorts having released amidst the classic era of acid house and then evolved through his collaborations with Layo during the golden age of dance music in Ibiza. He has dabbled in a spectrum of genres but most notably during the nineties he was involved in an emerging, interesting tech house sound which has since been reborn as of late with reissues by the likes of Holding Hands amongst others. Perhaps an unsung hero of the genre his music sounds just as relevant and enticing now as it did back in the 90's...

These days appearances from Bushwacka! are sparse, a man with no need to impress he is now in a luxurious position in which he can pick his own gigs with care and attention to detail. Hence having the chance to observe him play at present is rare.

This summer Layo and Bushwacka! will return for a special appearance at Campo Sancho, a small countryside festival with a big heart and a passion which was born amidst the hedonistic days of Notting Hill Carnival. It promises to be a blistering demonstration of what the duo have achieved through their sound and commitment to dance music across many years. 

In celebration of this, we invited Bushwacka! to take us through some of the formative music in his career, a deeply old school set showcasing fantastic take in deep house and tech house in all their glory. This one is a little bit special....
