On the B-side, 6 remixes deepen the sonic palette of the dreamy landscapes showcased on the other side. Alon.e dwelves into trancy synths and an IDM/trip-hopish groove for his version of Super Yellow Juice. Le Frit reconstructs Nunca Esperei por Ti. into a low-key, delicate and psychedelic dembow track. H2O gives a new life to Bamboo Flute with a playful version halfways between dub and synthwave. Guillerrrmo, straight from Manaus, member of São Paulo’s Mamba Negra, distorts the same track into a slow and powerful breakbeat heater. Manchester’s Obeka delivers a mesmerizing dancehall remix of Bury me, with Love, inspired by the track’s heady synths. Last but not least, Ditti re-harmonizes Escadarias into a colorful and quirky reinterpretation.

This duo from Peru are close to Nuri’s heart, and after sharing so many stages along the past years, it only made so much sense for them to work on this remix. Producers, DJs, and graphic designers Felipe Salmon and Rafael Pereira aka https://soundcloud.com/dengue explore and utilize rhythms from Latin, African, and Anglo culture, re-creating them in electronic form by mixing old and new, analog and digital, resulting in a unique, instantly identifiable sound accented by their striking hand-crafted visuals. Ranging from psychedelic cumbia to dub, from salsa to footwork, from tribal to techno, their sound and visual palette continue to evolve in concert and on recordings, adding more color, flavor, and texture to their heady and provocative mix.

Matraca and Eck Echo, two labels run by Peruvians but operating on the different sides of the Atlantic Ocean (in Lima and Berlin respectively), join their forces to release a brand new compilation entitled 'Ukhu'. The upcoming album focuses on the contemporary Andean electronic music and will feature an impressive line up of producers from Colombia, Ecuador, Chile and more - including the likes of QOQEQA, Montoya, Malafama or Quixosis. Among them is Chilean DJ Raff, the mainstay of Latin American electronic music scene, who delivered this beautiful track 'Multinacionales'.

About Emiliano Dietzgen

Emiliano Dietzgen

Mexican DJ and producer, member of Chakanais (CHKNS), an inter-in-disciplinary and multi-dis-functional collective from Mexico City dedicated to produce events and audiovisual materials around music and dance as events. These include the production of parties, the self-publication of a fanzine and the production of radio shows on different platforms.

In his productions and dj sets Dietzgen bets on deep beats and heavy bass as a means to conjure an intense and hypnotic dancefloor. His productions have appeared on labels such as Folcore Records, NOFUTURE, HTS and Cassette Blog. His DJ sets, always energetic and diverse, move between diverse worldly drums, deep bass lines and atmospheres that affirm the enjoyment of the free dance. His sets are clearly influenced by hardrum, kuduro, tarraxo, baile funk, dembow, reggaeton, techno and new underground sounds and rhythms from Latin America and the peripheries of the world. Dietzgen has played on various stages in Mexico City and this year participated as a dj and radio host at Documenta fifteen, in Kassel, Germany, as well as at some gigs in Berlin. He is currently preparing new releases in the realm of the 130 bpm, and some collabs.

Acerca de Emiliano Dietzgen

Dj y productor mexicano, integrante de Chakanais (CHKNS), colectivo interindisciplinado y multidisfuncional de la ciudad de México dedicado a producir eventos y materiales audiovisuales en torno a la música y el baile como acontecimiento. Entre ellos destacan la producción de fiestas, la autopublicación de un fanzine y la producción de espacios radiales en diversas plataformas.

En sus producciones y dj sets Dietzgen apuesta por los ritmos y bajos profundos como medios para conjurar una pista de baile intensa e hipnótica. Sus producciones han aparecido en labels como Folcore Records, NOFUTURE, HTS y Cassette Blog. Sus Dj sets, siempre energéticos y diversos, se mueven entre tambores de diversos mundos, líneas de bajo profundas y atmósferas de afirmación del disfrute del baile libre. En ellos sobre sale una clara influencia sonora del hardrum, el kuduro, el tarraxo, el baile funk, el dembow, el reggaeton, el techno y los nuevos sonidos y ritmos subterráneos de Latinoamérica y las periferias del mundo. Dietzgen ha tocado en diversos escenarios de la ciudad de México y este año participó como dj y host de radio en la Documenta fifteen, en Kassel, Alemanía, así como en algunas fiestas en Berlín. Actualmente se encuentra preparando nuevos lanzamientos en la estela de los 130 bpm y diversas colaboraciones.
