About this EP : 
¨Botanique¨ is the name of the last release by Mondocane, a music alchemist who's been shaking the Italian scene for the past twenty years. Always attracted by world music mixed with urban beats, he started releasing his original productions with a unique psychedelic/tribal twist mixed with slow techno, acid, and acoustic sampling techniques.
¨Botanique¨ is a concept album dedicated to the wonderful world of plants, which are the first-ever travelers on planet Earth. Every species with its own surviving strategy and its peculiarities can teach us so much like: how to survive our own destruction, how to cooperate with other humans and how to relate with the environment that surrounds us.  
We would like to dedicate this album to the work of Italian botanist Stefano Mancuso and give it as a gift to all the people who enjoy these deep vibes, enjoy!

"The sun of a mediterranean April began to warm my sad and disheartened soul from a period psychologically long and heavy to endure. A long period that has severely tested the peoples of an entire planet. I knew that to get out of it I would have to feed my spirit with music. But I was looking for a different kind of music, far from everything I had created so far. The desire to create something syncretic, transversal, highly energetic and spiritual, rich, ancestral and melodic, grew in me. I took a cue from this global situation to think about our destiny, about our sense of belonging to this place and this time. So I looked for a sound that was stripped of any categorization. A sound capable to elude any scheme by borrowing instruments, sounds, melodies from all over the world and blending them together. Whether it was a japanese taiko, a blues or latin melody played on the guitar, a duduk (and, why not, a panflute) or the voice of an opera singer no longer mattered. These elements so distant and different from each other had to dialogue together. I asked my best friend, Ueps, to accompany me with his guitar: I needed his company to face this sonic journey.
