04 - JaguarTree - Inner Peace

Ikaro", from the quechua "ikarai" (to blow smoke in order to heal) not only describes Southern American magical pratices. It also refers to the songs performed by xamans during ayahuasca ceremonies. The deep voices and percussions are used to amplify the intensity of ayahuasca ceremonies, enhancing the power of amazonian medicine through rhythm and melody. 

We aimed at gathering the beauty of the healing chant and the hypnotic power of digital organic synths and rythms to produce a psychedelic trip.

Vocal Credits : Mestra Olivia Arévalo Lomas from the Temple of the way of light, murdered on 2018 april 19th. She spent her entire life promoting Shipibo culture and protecting the forest from rare woods traffickers, settlers and corporations.
