The artists behind Synchronized feel that 2018 will be a year of change. Society is transforming and we are growing in ways never before imaginable. Technology allows us to create kings from the masses and gives those who would, a way to connect and share anything with anyone at anytime. But, this new paradigm is built on fragile ideas of instant gratification and acceptance, and sometimes the smallest whisper can topple the house of cards. It is with this vulnerability in mind that Amselcom has produced this EP, each track chosen for it's ability to reach those who look to reject this new way of life and be a part of a more meaningful evolution through our biological circuitry. 

Bruce Riley's cover artwork closely represents this organic network that links us all together. In a world where biology is being replaced with technology at a quickening rate, the hope is that this collection will remind us of our humanity and guide us back to using the same cellular social structures of our ancestors.

Curating their second release on the newly established independent imprint TAU, the Adana Twins are keen to support the best up-and-coming talent from a saturated DJ/Producer market. The second release showcases yet another rising star; Paris-based, Romanian born - BOg. BOg first broke onto the electronic music landscape after being signed to John Digweed’s ‘Bedrock Records’. 12-years down the line he’s released on Dixon’s Innervisions & Solomun’s Diynamic, BOg is a constant in the record bags of DJs across the globe. Drawing strong influences from bands and artists such as Depeche Mode, The Prodigy, Aphex Twin or The Chemical Brothers, BOg’s ‘Terra EP’ has an evident other-worldly feel. Innellea returns to TAU002 this time on remix duties, remixing ‘Terra’ and further cementing his position as a core artist on TAU. The B-side remix of ‘Jahar’ comes from Mathias Schober, chosen for the Adana Twins love his sound design and aesthetic, the producer delivers a remix rounding off the solid ‘Terra’ EP.

Ready for the summer vibes? We definitely are! At the very latest after having danced to the freshest Jaw Dropping Records EP - brought to you by no one less than Marc Molina and Calypse. Just in time for the hottest season! Marc was born and raised in Barcelona and is known for super groovy productions on labels like Frequenza. Maura and Shana both make the female only DJ duo Calypse. They are based in Rome and are the perfect fit for this Southern European co-production EP. “Free Souls” is the name of the main track of the release. The influence by both their warm Southern regions are undeniable. They created a house track carried by a round kick and driving hi-hats with a catchy and deep synth melody and club-ready drops. For the second track of the Ep (“Spiritual Warfare”) Marc Molina decided on a harder vibe and went more in the melodic techno direction that suits Jaw Dropping Records just as good as the softer productions that we've been showcasing this year. But what would be a Jaw Dropping release without some amazing remixers? Berlin's Foolik took “Free Souls” and made his very own deep-house version - with a punchy kick and less drama. He knows how to make people dance (not to mention his outstanding releases on Jaw Dropping's sister label Jannowitz Records or Katermukke). His remix is energetic and light at the same time. Perfect for festival season! Talking about festival season: Here comes Peter Groskreutz. The second remixer on “Free Souls Ep”. His remix of the title track is faster and darker but on the same side hold on to the the catchiness of the original. Turbolenz, the Offenbach quality imprint with both a heart and a deep passion for crotch jokes, heads into round 4. Richard IV, founding member of the ESO-Ensemble, is a studied pianist and fine gentleman, but also half of the almighty Shayde. On the remix EP for Delenz's „Synthi & Roma" release, Richard gave his first appearance as a solo artist. Now, with his debut „Le temps de desir", he showcases his classically trained background, embedded in the creative freedom of electronic music. Shaped by his classic music and organ lessons, he lets many influences of classic composers flow into his productions.

The particular sound of the trombone is essential for the title track „Le temps de desir", whose intention is to explore the full tonal potential of this classic instrument through experimentation and preparation. The title originates from a cheap fetish novelette with the title „Time of Desire", which was found on a walk though Offenbach, to then become the amusing literary enrichment for months to follow.

„MXN" is an homage to a person responsible for great shared moments in music during the past years. The dark foundation of the track was created by recording an out of tone Steinway piano on a Dictaphone and then playing the result on half speed. The sinister chord progression however lightens up to a brighter pitch in the course of the arrangement.

A six-voice choral of the later Romanticism composer Francis Poulenc offers the harmonious foundation of "La bonne neige". The repetitive chords in 6/4 become intermingled with the vibrant 4/4, thereby continuously shifting the emphasis of the beat.

A remix by Turbolenz label head Philipp Lenz aka Delenz for the already stunning „MXN" will be released two weeks after the originals.
