Here's the mix I did for the BBC Radio 1 - November was HIP HOP TAKEOVER month. I did an exclusive mix for the "Semtex Show" alongside Mixmaster Mike. A few other DJ homies who did mixes were DJ Craze, DJ Shadow, DJ Cash Money, Just Blaze and Mannie Fresh. Was an honor to be a part of the show and felt great to get back to my roots and get down on some proper Hip Hop. Enjoy!

Z - Trip - BBC Radio1 Hip Hop Takeover Mix (Unedited)- *Download*

The mighty Z-Trip steps in hour 2 for his superb 'All Access - A Beastie Boys Megamix' to coincide with their new album. We don't have a track list but you'll recognise plenty of tracks from their catalogue mixed and spliced the way only Z-Trip can. Starting with 'Paul Revere' from Licensed to Ill and all the way up to their latest album Hot Sauce Committee, including a recording of the WBLS show where a young Z-Trip first heard the Beasties.
DK returns for the last section with another track from Elzhi and his Elmatic mixtape, followed by original hip hop from the Widstyle movie. We switch to Analog Africa reissues of Orchestre Poly-Rythmo and Rob, new music from Owiny Sigoma Band and a rare Fela cover from '75 by Johnny & Orquesta Rodrigues. It's a track off the Africa Hitech album, turkish psyche funk from Mustafa Özkent and we close with jazz from the Harry Roche Constellation

Seeing that I just completed the Slimkid3 & Nu-Mark collaboration, I thought it was appropriate to assemble a mix that highlights both Jurassic 5 and Pharcyde at their best. I dug deep in the vaults and uncovered some never before heard multi tracks, unreleased songs and acapellas from old tapes that needed to see the light of day. This is a return to my How To Cut & Paste style - there's a heavy emphasis on funk, jazz, soul, reggae, latin and hip-hop, plus a shitload of samples from my favourite movies and songs all relating to LUNCH (this is my first full project since BREAKFAST OF CHAMPIONS). 
I included exclusives of remixes I've done recently for The Charlatans and DJ Mighty Mi w/ Grand Puba. 
And there's some rare 90s rap freestyles, including one by RZA that I feel pretty certain doesn't exist anywhere on the internet!

Make Mixtapes Great Again

Originally released in 2005 "A mix of everything you thought you heard".  There is a piece from every release I ever put out from 1992 to 2002 in this mix from a UCLA art student cd release, an underground rap compilation cassette,  J5, Ozomatli, mix cds with Shadow, remixes, etc...its all in there. I encourage folks to identify any piece you can.. Ill help with the hard ones.

A rural psych folk and rock selection by Hymnal (Whats The Altitude) and myself. This mix was created last year around this time to give thanks to the harvest of music that was recorded here in this country. Hymnal is the one of the deepest collectors of this genre.
