May " Venus Love " met Hip Hop in the Early 90's after her family and her moved from the Bay Area in California to the Central Valley for some odd years due to the High Cost of living which was difficult for her mother and father to afford and provide for their kids. Still to this day she'll never forget the exact moment she fell in love with Hip Hop, it was at the age of 6. She, went outside to see the sight of her new neighbors doing a B-Boying dance stance to Afrikka Boombata's Planet Rock song Venus Love never knew a human body could twist, turn and pose like the way her neighbors were doing so on just a small, basic piece of cardboard. A few of them had helmets and knee pads too. The music that they were breaking to young V. Love recalls was unlike any music she's ever experienced before. Catchy beat, Crazy sound effects, and an addicting rhythm. It came from an Old School Tape Deck Silver Boom-box which was unfamiliar to her only because her family didn't own one at the time. 
From that second on her love for Hip Hop was official and began to blossom. She became instantly hooked, became a fan of Hip Hop and submerged herself in the culture. It's not Dead, and if its she hope to ressurrect it with her music and poetry. 
     Currently, You may also hear Venus Love featured on many EDM tracks across the globe. Growing up in the Bay Area early on in her life where Freestyle music and electronica music's presence is dominant has enticed her to get back to her roots again and  begin to experiment with a familiar sound she's comfortable with.
