Originating from Atlanta, GA, Mild West fuses funk, electronica and high-energy dance beats to create a sound that's both feel good and fun. Whether it's live groovy guitar solos and hard-hitting electronic bass, or a DJ set featuring funky house and disco tracks, you are bound to have a good time jamming out with us​

In his teen years Alexander grew up listening to hip-hop, thats all he knew. Then he quickly fell in love with the sounds of electronic music through his mothers late night house party's in the prairies. Wanting to explore the uncharted terrain of different genres of house, minimal techno, trance, tech house, techno and electro he picked up a used Traktor Kontrol S4 mixer from a friend. No surprise, she thought it was pretty cool that he was going to pick up on a love for electronic music she developed listening to the early pioneers in the 1970s, like Brian Eno and Jean Michel Jarre. Exposed to a range of new and old electronic music through the Winnipeg electronic music scene over the past few years, he has been fueling his growing passion for mixing. A protégé of Nathan Zahn, he leans towards a high energy high bass mix of techno, minimal tech, and tech house. 

       Growing up traveling back and forth between the US Virgin Islands and the west coast of Canada, Alexander Krygsveld became, through no fault of his own, a transplanted Prairie brat, who skateboarded every parking lot downtown and had more than his share of broken bones to prove that passion. These days, he puts his energy into growing the bouncy catchy mixes that encompass the sounds that make people want to dance. In 2013 Alexander premiered at the Connect Music Festival in Regina, and then the following summer played at Manitoba Electronic Music Festival (MEME), branching out of the house party scene to join DJs whose mixes he has been inspired by in the Winnipeg clubs like the Pyramid, the Albert, the Event Exchange, and the thriving local after-party scene. 

         People can find him at the Back 2 House events at the perennial Pyramid club, put on by the house fanatic Dave Rad, or the more intimate Sanctuary events at the Loft, spinning techno sounds from producers all over the world. Some of his influences have come from Noah Pred (Berlin), Justin Kace (Winnipeg), Mike Jasper and many more!

Molly started cutting her teeth on vinyl back in the early 00's and has been a staple in Calgary's dance community ever since. Influenced early on by the breakbeat sound Molly set her sights on just that, breaks and has had the oppurtunity to open for such legendary international acts as; The Funk Hunters, Fort Knox 5, Rumpus, A Tribe Called Red, Smalltown DJ's, Neon Steve, K.Lab, Deekline, SIVZ and A.Skillz to name a few. Her years of passion and dedication to growing a strong and vibrant female DJ community through her work with Girls On Decks (est.2003) has solidified her reputaion as a true leader, and a talented local artist and community activist.
Throughout her career, MollyFi has collaborated with prestigious organizations such as the Calgary Flames Hockey, where she has served as the pregame warm-up DJ, as well as the Calgary Stampede, Calgary Pride, National Music Centre, Cirque de la Nuit, Telus Spark, Contemporary Calgary and The Calgary Surge basketball team.
Molly's musical style is a vibrant fusion of 90s dance, breakbeat, house music, funk, and Taylor. Yes, Swift. As an unapologetic "Gay Swiftie," Molly has found a niche and integrated Swift's music into her notorious "All Tay" DJ sets, captivating hundreds of fans at sold-out Swift dance parties throughout western canada.
However, one of the highlights of MollyFi's career was her debut performance at the legendary Shambhala music festival in 2019, where she took stage in the Fractal Forest. This opportunity further propelled her career and cemented her status as a sought-after DJ gaining her a spot in DJ Mags up and coming for 2019 and was invited back to the funkiest place on earth for 2023. She continues to captivate audiences and deliver unforgettable experiences at popular events, clubs and festivals in western Canada.
Currently you can catch Molly weekly at Calgary's only dedicated roller rink, House Of Skate where she holds a residency friday nights in a funk infused open format style.
