Conceived by pioneers of the Australian electronic underground, Steve Maxwell Von Braund and keyboardist Geoff Green, together they produced a series of mind-altering cosmic albums throughout the 1970s which set the tone for the Minimal wave and electronic post punk scene of early 1980s Melbourne. Part Tangerine Dream, part Ash Ra Tempel, Cybotron channelled the spirit of Krautrock to create their own unique brand of throbbing Komische electronica rivalling the futuristic vision of their German counterparts. "This track was made with a patch i've programmed on the Waldorf Q synth'. It's an arpeggiated sound with delay efx. I love to tweak this kind of sound. The track is quite repetitive and reminds me of the minimalistic music of Reich and Adams. It was fun to tweak the delay time and shift the arpeggio pattern to accomplish a shimmering, floating kind of effect - like a huge cloud, rising and resolving in the sky" - Arovane.

Ricardo Donoso has composed a new paradigm of ambient music, in which concrete textures and digital synthesis expand on an abstract world in constant movement & mutation. Under a chain of progressive rhythm’s, cinematic textures and elegant melodicism, Donoso’s work pushes through with piercing strength, manipulating a sonic wave through space with nothing but pulse and mind blowing intensity.
Although Donoso’s work has coalesced into a much broader and dynamic beast, his early work continues to be a source of inspiration. ‘Symmetry’ now compiles Donoso’s first three albums, lovingly referred to as the “Digitalis Trilogy” which includes Progress Chance, Assimilating the Shadow and As Iron Sharpens Iron, One Verse Sharpens Another in a deluxe 4LP boxset & 3CD edition.
A truly entrancing journey of polyrhythmic counterpoint, the ‘Symmetry’ collection takes in influence from minimalist composers such as Reich & Riley, early techno and trance, and lush and deeply harmonic ambient music. It’s possible to look at the ‘Symmetry’ trilogy as a blueprint to Donoso’s later work in both its musical scope & thematic grandeur. Amidst all of its wide eyed, dreamlike states there is always a rumbling of subtle violence piercing just underneath the surface creating a truly immersive experience.

Raditrilogy consists of three story about different radio signals. 

The first one - "Alone in Space" - it's my view on the launching of first Earth artificial satellite. At the moment when it has been raised up in the infinite Sky no one was there yet. This event takes place in 1957. 

The second one - "DEFCON 2" - tells us about dark and disturbed times in the 1962 when Cuban Missile Crisis panic and hysteria captured radio frequencies all over the world. 

The third and the last one in that triptych - "BSF LF Station" - could also being called "The Signals of Our Time". To be specific - it's time synchronization signals, which are transmitted by special stations. In the year 2016 there are many extremely important technologies that based on a time synchronization and BSF LF Station is a part of that. One day its signal came to me through the net and that's how this track appeared.

He composed this in 1971 for an Italian movie called Maddalena, and reused it in 1981 for the beautiful final scene of the French movie Le Professionnel starring Jean-Paul Belmondo who insisted on using this music. It was also reused in some other movies and TV series and is famous in French pop culture thanks to a memorable dog food TV ad for Royal Canin, where the music is used while a dog is running in slow motion.

The instrument is a Clavia Nord Stage 2, using a Bösendorfer sampled grand piano with some echo, and strings I control with an expression pedal, well, try to control.

New mix from our “Retrospective” series is a tribute to Eduard Artemyev, who is celebrating his 80th birthday today (Born 30 November 1937 in Novosibirsk). He is a worldwide-known Soviet and Russian composer and electronic musician who scored over 200  films and theatrical plays including the famous works by Andrei Tarkovsky, Andrei Konchalovsky, Pavel Chukhray, Nikita Mikhalkov and many others.
Of all the Soviet composers, it's Eduard Artemyev who most in uenced the development of local electronic music. He was deeply involved into education, conducting his workshops and popularizing sonic experiments and sonic studies. Artemyev was one of the  rst operators of the cult synthesizer ANS, using the machine to record his soundtrack for Tarkovsky's “Solaris”. His other electronic works – for example, the soundtracks for “Stalker” or “Sibiriade” – today are considered the standards of the genre and are still being released on the various types of media.
Our mixtape is not only a retrospective of Eduard Artemyev's vast musical heritage, but also an excursion into the realms of his discography which still remain unknown to the wide audience. Thus, in addition to his key pieces from of cial releases, this mixtape also includes a lot of unreleased compositions as we handled almost the entire archive of his works cutting out sound tracks directly from rare  lms and documentaries.

Из всех советских композиторов именно Эдуард Николаевич больше всего повлиял на развитие отечественной электронной музыки. Он преподавал, проводил мастер-классы и занимался популяризацией экспериментов в области звука, работал с новыми устройствами — например, стал одним из первых операторов культового синтезатора АНС, записав с его помощью саундтрек к «Солярису» Тарковского. Его другие электронные работы — например, саундтреки к «Сталкеру» или «Сибириаде», сегодня считаются эталонами жанра и до сих пор выпускаются на всевозможных носителях по всему миру.
Наш микс — это не только ретроспектива обширного музыкального наследия Эдуарда Николаевича, но и экскурс в неизвестные широкой публике территории его дискографии. Так, кроме ключевых композиций с официальных релизов, в микс вошло множество неизданного материала — мы переработали практически весь архив кинохроники, «вырезая» звуковые дорожки напрямую из документальных и художественных фильмов.

Rengeteg fantasztikus electro/eclash lemez pörgött akkoriban azon dj-k kezei alatt (s persze az én kezeim alatt is :)), akik az electroclash hőskorában ezt a stílust játszották Magyarországon. Cár & Tmx, BassDroid & Lau, Wamzer, Sinko, Morgontz, Mesterházy, Plastik Angel, Cartridge & Stillhalter, Coyote, Plesiv, a Lollipop Team - nem szeretnék senkit sem kihagyni!!! - és persze az electro-felem, andy_age, mind-mind belenyúltak a jóba (ki csak érintőlegesen, ki könyékig), élvezet volt a szettjeiket hallgatni.
