The oldest French Techno label A-TRACTION records is celebrating its 22nd birthday, after an aborted 20th anniversary in 2020, it couldn't stay there!

This label is the story of a life and a passion, that of its creator Marc Ayats, who gathered 20 producers already part of the A-TRACTION family around this 20+2 project, between Electro, Detroit, Melodic, EBM, Acid or Rave... pure eclecticism

"I simply like something that could be likened to the essence or mythology of a genre, which ironically goes against my broader beliefs, because essentialism is something I abhor, but in music as a discipline, it's perhaps innocuous."

Vampire Castle EP by now Prague-based musician Andrej Kabal explores and subverts the framework of a particular genre, its boundaries whether elastic or sturdy. Being constrained by stylistic tropes can be surprisingly liberating, and perhaps ephemeral too, a mirage. The tracks resulted from spontaneous sessions: from experimenting with text-to-speech to strumming on a guitar. Deeply personal, the EP reflects a specific period of his life.

"These tracks came to life in my room while I was living in Petržalka (a concrete-block district in Bratislava), where I could amazingly listen to music until 4am undisturbed, so I was able to delve into production. I can relive this vibe when I listen to the tracks again. The dimly lit room, me smoking at 5am on the balcony, observing the sleepy Petržalka council estate unrolling in front of my eyes."

The mood of the EP is opaque and mellow, like that fleeting time of the day, where dusk is transposed into dawn; slightly menacing (like a John Carpenter soundtrack, one of Kabal's perhaps more obvious inspirations on this release), with spots of light seeping through.
The title "Vampire Castle" was inspired by Mark Fisher's concept and uses samples from his work. “Individualise and privatise everything”, “essentialise”: we are all doomed indeed, but as Fisher wrote “Outside the Vampires’ Castle, anything is possible.”

Co-founder of Sons of Traders, Berlin based TANS debuts on Dead Channel with this collection of darkened acid electro and analog broken-beat heaters. Stripped-down percussion, raw gut-punch basses, occult vocalisms, and unsettling atmospherics that linger in the shadows meld seamlessly together in this blighted jewel. Not to be missed!

This VA brings together electronic artists from around the world, united in solidarity with the people of Gaza. In the face of silence and inaction from our governments, we believe it’s our responsibility, as artists and human beings, to contribute however we can.
SawtPalestine is an independent association founded by Ahmed Jome, a Palestinian based in Marseille, with the mission of building a bridge between Gaza and the World. Their work focuses on supporting orphans and displaced families in Gaza, especially those with no contact or aid from the outside.
On the ground, a local team operates daily to provide direct financial, emotional, and recreational support to children and families in need. Long-term, SawtPalestine aims to build an orphanage.
Since its creation, the association has also launched a traveling Palestinian kitchen, collaborated with activist networks and artists from different fields, and organized events to raise awareness of the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
