VA VALHALLA'S SHIELD
In Norse mythology, Valhalla is a majestic, enormous hall located in Asgard, ruled over by the god Odin. Chosen by Odin, half of those who die in combat travel to Valhalla upon death, led by valkyries, while the other half go to the goddess Freyja's field Fólkvangr. In Valhalla, the dead warriors join the masses of those who have died in combat (known as the Einherjar) and various legendary Germanic heroes and kings, as they prepare to aid Odin during the events of Ragnarök. Before the hall stands the golden tree Glasir, and the hall's ceiling is thatched with golden shields. Various creatures live around Valhalla, such as the stag Eikþyrnir and the goat Heiðrún, both described as standing atop Valhalla and consuming the foliage of the tree Læraðr.

Beauty and Brutality

This VA seeks to unveil the immaculate metric, the perfect alchemy of harshness and gentleness, of grace entwined with violence. For beauty and brutality arise at the very conception of narrative: twin, complementary forces of life that awaken novelty, the eternal cosmic dance of creation and destruction.

The music unfolds as testimony: bass lines that strike with raw force, melodies that embrace with tenderness. Each track reminds us that joy and sorrow are carried in the same breath, that collapse and renewal, despair and devotion, walk hand in hand.

The artists offer fragments of their journeys: trials endured, spirits broken and restored, their commitment renewed in sound. This is not only music but witness, a reminder that to love the world as it is, in its wounds and wonders, is the hardest vow.

Beauty and brutality are not enemies, but mirrors, reflecting us back to ourselves, guiding us toward wholeness and awakening.

Let this compilation speak where words fall short: of darkness and light, of heaviness and grace, of the paradox at the heart of existence. A sonic invocation to face the abyss, and to love it anyway.
