The Beginning

This track was composed in response to a challenge issued by The Crow Hill Company to create a track using all of the 6 Vaults beta instruments they have created and released over the last 6 months or so. An additional part of the challenge was that each entrant was randomly given a particular key to compose their track in. I was given key of "A". The time limit for completion was one week. 

The Vaults instruments are given away free by the Crow Hill Company. If you are interested, go to their web page and sign up. They are definitely worth having. There are likely to be more in the future too.

My 100th SC upload💯. Another track using the new Dot Allison Dulcet Voice from Crow Hill for the vocals on this one. More info here: thecrowhillcompany.com/dot-allison-dulcet-voice/. 

Drums: NI 40.
Bass: Warwick 5-string Corvette through NI Guitar Rig.
Guitars: Strandberg Salen Jazz through an instance of NI Guitar Rig with some additional VST's from Arturia and others. First solo is a kinda loose fingerstyle / hybrid picked thing. For the geeks, guitar in second half is all finger tapped (single and double) outlining chords and scales.
Keys: various NI, Arturia and Spitfire.
Mastering: Ozone 10 Standard.
DAW: Ableton 12.

Prior to my career as a software engineer, I attended RubyConf (2015, San Antonio) and watched a presentation about making music with Sonic Pi. That night, I made this rendition of "Corridors of Time" from Chrono Trigger.
