Today is August 8, so it's a special day today: Time for a freestyle jam session with my Roland TR-08 and my TR-6S in the mix. 

Get ready for a 1h45min live set made this morning by yours truly. Making this set and listening back to it made me fully smile and happy, and I could only think of one thing: NEEDS MORE COW BELL!! 🐄🔔😜

VHS Dreams (Quartet)

New Synth! A K2 MkII. I patched it into oblivion, pretty much? Got five voices out of it; two from the oscillators, two from the filters, one from noise. And then the jam is essentially a track.

K2 Intro Jam (Full 1min Track in one Patch)

This track started as a jam with various hardware synthesizers like the Multipoly, the OpSix, Hydrasynth, the Take 5, and the TR-6s.  However, several supporting tracks of software synths were added during the mixing/rewriting process including three tracks of harmony vocals (although there is no real singing on this track).  This was the result of trying to work with the Locrian mode.  Leave a comment to tell me how successful you think I was in representing the challenging mode.

Problematic Hydrostatic

This piece is a sound picture of the inside of my brain when I'm composing an ambient soundscape. It begins with a foundation pattern but as it develops multiple additional patterns interpose themselves, intertwining in the sound field as a singular instrument emerges to focus my mind on a mindful theme, but then ...............

Blue Meditations V

5 AM In Cairo

This piece was composed to showcase a beautiful, mellow sounding Duduk instrument supported by bowed crotales,  bowed vibes and a 'breath choir'. it's an ambient soundscape for short meditations which evolves  with the relaxing sound of the Duduk underscored by a soft rhythm pattern and bass drone. Please enjoy

Blue Meditations 1 Remix

This track was composed for piano, inspired by a retreat into the Romanian Mountains near Brasov, where the landscape is magical. It's like living in a fabulous 360 degree mountainous landscape painting; in pure silence except for the birdsong and the soft rustling of leaves on the trees.
