Victor Furbacken is a versatile and highly in demand Swedish musician who can be heard regularly in a wide array of musical contexts with artists from Sweden and abroad in recent years. 
 
Victor is currently starting his debut solo project. Stripped down and acoustic in the classic singer-songwriter tradition. With his own sound and lyrics on top he captures and reflects the frenzy, changeability and volatility of our time.  
 
Having performed as a long time bassist and background vocalist in many shifting musical contexts, Victor Furbacken decided last fall to venture on a small solo-vacation in order to clear his mind and see what this could bring. He spent a number of days isolated in a little cabin in the forest, deep in the heart of the swedish countryside with nothing but a pen, some paper and a guitar.
 
Reverberations and echoes of the dim woods and their stillness followed him back to his hometown of Gothenburg as he brought back a head full of words and melodies with him. Parts of this new material has now been recorded and will be released on an EP due out this fall.
 
Wondering how it sounds? Voice and guitar, high and low, precisely sculpted and personal whilst sublimely simple and straightforward. It´s the melody and the words that will pilot the listener through this new material. This is just one of many of the up and coming projects from this multifaceted musician, but one we definitely hope to see and hear more of.
