this is in my poser week set but i actually finished mixing it today and change some tinyyyy tiny things BUT yeah hope you like it

One of my fastest mixes. Due to political influences and the fiercest war, my former life has gone into oblivion and hasty attempts are now being made to find myself. This mix reflects my current mental state and an attempt to recreate the form of an environment filled with different types of emotions from impenetrable tragedy to the brightest euphoria.

✼ This new release is by our favorite Morrocan label @raghoulmusic and features the Senegalese-Hispanic artist @b4mba (known from the Barcelona-based @jokkoocloud collective)

✼ B4MBA's release is called "NGELAW" which means "wind" in Wolof — the paternal language of the artist. Part of a larger saga centered around the four elements, NGELAW was shaped by the concept of travel. Drawing from the animist essence of African spirituality which assumes the notion that we are all made of these elements, the artist plays with his voice as an instrument over a bass-heavy beat.

✱ "This project is a diary of my darkest emotions, grief, guilt, sadness, fury, and pain, indulgence in chaos and the feeling of imminent doom. An emptiness that rots and corrodes, a compendium with the darkest parts inside me and how to stop escaping from them, accept them as part of who I am and maybe you too.

✱ In this project, I had the opportunity to collaborate on a couple of tracks with 2 incredible artists: @santa_ninha ("Huesos de Serpiente") and @venvsdad ("Solo Ruinas Quedan"), who in their music communicate something, that I feel closely related to."

oiiii, sou a julia, essa é minha disco deriva ♡ gravei esse set com muito carinho, ele contém algumas músicas que são minhas favoritas, assim como algumas descobertas recentes, algumas obsessões… a ideia foi encapsular um pouco do sentimento que sempre fica latente pra mim nesse período de virada de ano e começo de um novo ciclo. sou uma dessas pessoas que se apega muito a esse conceito totalmente inventado, e sei que não sou a única que fica mais sensível que o normal. essa seleção surgiu de tentativas de comunicar algo que parece incomunicável, de nomear algo que parece inominável. ela diz um pouco sobre aquela nostalgia que te engana, de quando você se apega a memórias do passado como se ele tivesse sido perfeito, mas as partes boas são suficientes pra te prenderem. também traz sentimentos de amargura, de arrependimento, de apego ao que não foi dito e ao que poderia ter sido. acredito que estamos sempre buscando conforto nas playlists que fazemos, nos álbuns que viram nossas referências e por isso nos afeiçoamos tanto a eles, porque poucas coisas são melhores do que ouvir uma música e pensar “isso é literalmente eu”. e apesar de o tema desse episódio ser essa busca por elaboração, por sentido, cheguei ao fim dele ainda sem entender muita coisa, e ansiando ainda mais por sentir coisas que nunca senti antes e viver coisas que nunca vivi antes.
