Rainy days, both inside & out... time for change... life choices and decisions...
Diverse feelings & thoughts overflow, fear of risk, of the unknown and failure, but also a liberating sense of renewal and purpose. Time for a leap of faith?

At times like these I often seek advice and courage in the words of fellow seekers, thoughtful adventurers and in a sense “life gamblers”. 
Who better to share a few much needed drinks on the subject than Charles Bukowski – his life according to inner purpose grants him the expertise, and his words will encourage without sugarcoating it... the first move is in your hands… roll the dice, proposes one that did.

A very personal and idiosyncratic interpretation of Tuxedomoon's emblematic & beloved song, that emerged late one night out of intense emotional need to communicate the very point of it, at a recent dark time of loss and separation.

We are sometimes wounded by the words people speak - but we can die from the ones that were never spoken...

Introduction to the Songs of Innocence (published in 1794)

"Piping down the valleys wild
Piping songs of pleasant glee
On a cloud I saw a child.

So I piped, he wept to hear.

Introduction

Separation brings always a heavy load of mixed and traverse emotions. Estrangement, hostility, loneliness...
Recorded at such a time, a phone message sprang this piece of music, memory & life, now forever intertwined.
I'm sorry the actual sampled message is in Greek, and therefore won't make sense to none Greek speaking listeners - still I thought the music might carry over enough of the emotion.

Moonrise

A cover of the original 1987 Depeche Mode song, from their album “ Music for the Masses”.
An almost effortless, at the time, re-imagining of the orchestration introducing break-beat rhythmic elements that seemed to “naturally” find their place in the structure, the mesmerising vocals of Utopia, and an appropriate to the emotion of the song gradual conclusion, have unexpectedly made this one of my all time favorite interpretations (among the numerous this song already has).
