Sometimes this is where my rationality will hide
From the demons that I’ve always feared to fight

Sometimes it will clamp its self down tighter than my vest
Whenever darkness puts me to the test

But fear is nothing but a bump in the road

Sometimes he will raise his eyes, to give a certain look
When he disapproves of certain roads I've took

The opening track from my new album, 
I wrote this song when my very close and wonderful friend informed me he had been told by doctors there was nothing else they could do for him in his fight with cancer, I intended on playing it for him at some point but it never seemed the right time , but I'm sure he has been listening from other realms. 
I wanted it to sound as if it was an old ancient vinyl , as if somebody could discover it in years to come, with the thought of it explaining the tone of the album , if ya get me :P

Trying to lift of this curse any desperate way that he can
And I plead with them to free me, cause I'm so sick of being
Curled up in this corner while the others are seeing
Their aspirations and dreams blooming into life
And then clarity calls and has a word in my ear
I should be so grateful, I'm still physically here
And my focus turns to the ones that were taken to soon
