テクノ、ハウスを基調とした印象的な楽曲を手掛けるコンポーザーとして、DJでは日本国内多数のクラブイベントやフェスに出演し、上海,香港,バンコクなどでもクラブギグを中心に様々なブランドなどのパーティーやショーに出演。BRAIN DEADによるNTS RadioへのDJミックスの提供やその他Noods Radio,Reprezent Radio,Kitsuné MusiqueなどのローカルラジオにもDJミックスを提供するなど幅広い活動を行っている。

2000年生まれ福井県出身。現在は京都を拠点に活動中であり、京都West Harlemを中心にあらゆるパーティーに出演している。2021年にスタートした京都発レーベル<PAL.Sounds>のメンバーであり、2022年にはミックスシリーズ「वेदः vedaḥ」をローンチするなど幅広く活動を行なっている。幼少期からハウスミュージックに触れるなどダンスミュージックへの造詣が深く、生来培われたグルーヴとフレッシュなアイデアによってフロアを魅了し続けている。

Manami  @manami-b is an up and coming DJ and producer born in Japan, raised in the UK, currently based in London via Bristol. Her high energy, prog-laced, and UK infused sound have placed her on esteemed lineups across the UK and beyond. Manami's rise to prominence has been championed by multiple outlets including Mixmag, who named her as one of their Breakthrough DJs of 2022, and DJ Mag featuring her in their Ones To Watch in 2023 list. 

Having lived in Bristol for the past few years, she’s cultivated a loyal following there through throwing her own parties under the imprint Better Days, playing at well respected parties across the UK, most recently programming fabric’s Room 3 for her new ‘Level 1’ curates series. Manami takes her influences from a background in classical training, psychedelic grooves and Bristolian Bass music. The result is an intricately woven and refreshing venture through some of the most exciting sounds of our times.

Manami’s first release ‘Plastic Italo’ was part of a compilation on Alfresco Disco & the track was selected as Jaguar’s Dancefloor Moment on BBC Introducing. Since then she has released several compilations and remixes across established labels such as Futureboogie, Soothsayer and Semi Delicious. Manami’s debut EP ‘Eventide In Orbit’ was released on 3rd June via Viscera Records.

Making a debut into the world of releases on Axel Boman’s Studio Barnhus label, Wallace is known for his hard hitting left-field styles, sonically inspiring electronic music. He now releases on Bradley Zero’s esteemed Rhythm Section, and has recently played at some of the most revered venues and festivals, including Gottwood and Burning Man.

-Inspiration(text by Wallace)-
Back in 2015 I attended Labyrinth festival in Naeba. This recording is my love letter to that party. A collection of sounds inspired by a magical weekend in the Japanese mountains 💌🏔

I really wanted to try and capture a snapshot of the loopy, hypnotic, trippy energy of that moment; where time seems to momentarily cease & you find yourself completely immersed in sound.

私は"時間が一瞬止まり、気がつくと音に完全に浸かっているような"ルーピーで催眠術のようなトリッピーなエネルギーを表現したかった。

─ミックスの録音環境を教えてください。

青山LOOPにて、ミキサーUREI1620のTAPE OUT経由で、KORGモバイルレコーダーMR-1で録音しました。
 
 
─このミックスのコンセプト、アイデアなどを教えてください。

3月12日に青山LOOPにて行われた「DANCAHOLIC」が7周年＆最終回だったので、人生初のオープンからラストまでのロングセットにトライしました。7年間よくプレイしてきたレコード中心のセットでしたが、一晩の中でももっともフロアがDANCAHOLICらしいヴァイブスだった5〜7時間目のミックスです。このあともパーティーは6時間続きました……。
 
 
—近況と最近の活動について教えてください。

3月に"ene"からSLY MONGOOSE「Noite(Prins Thomas Diskomiks)」の12インチアナログをリリースしました。
DJ KENTと共に、Lil LouisとLouie Vegaによる15年前のヒット曲、LOU2「FREAKY」のエディットを「"20years of Strictly Rhythm" Mixed by DJ NORI & TOHRU TAKAHASHI」の3枚組CDに収録されています。

─今後の活動予定を教えてください。

昨年デビューアルバムをリリースしたPSYCHOGEM、桑田つとむに続き、今夏Force of NatureのDJ KENTによるソロユニット「The Backwoods」のデビューアルバムや、Max Essaのアルバムをリリース予定です。The Backwoods、Tiago、9dwの12インチは5月〜6月にかけて5タイトルリリース予定です。
