Wolf Story, based in Paris, is a house and
techno artist who has been making waves in
the underground music scene for over 20
years.

Known for his unique blend of house, techno
and Indie Dance, Wolf Story draws inspiration
from the likes of Popof and Laurent Garnier.
He lived in Miami for 10 years, where he held
a weekly residency in Fort Lauderdale, before
relocating to Paris.

It all started in the 90s when Wolf Story
(Rico) began DJing vinyls with Popof, an
experience that would shape his musical
direction. He went on to become a resident
DJ at the legendary Rex Club in Paris, honing
his craft and building a dedicated fanbase
In addition to his success as a solo artist,
Wolf Story is also the driving force behind
the new collective Au Fil Du Son, he recently
organized an event during Techno Parade in
Paris which drew over 1000 attendees.

Our buddy Emric aka Wolf Stroy did a smash debut on HMWL in 2021 with the afro house cut Berilla feat Mabiisi. It's still his top one Spotify track two years later. We caught up with Wolf Story in Tokyo where he played the iconic Oath venue.

Oath is a small club in Shibuya -Tokyo's most famous neihbourhood, an intimate club. The kind of club where people actually talk to each other. It was the first club I visited in Japan 2 years ago. It features dozens of chandeliers, which gives a really unique feel inside the venue. Akira, manager at Oath confirmed my last gig of my Asian tour in dec 2023. I enjoyed playing a two-hour set that night, great way to conclude a busy schedule in Korea & Japan. If you want to try the ultimate experience in Shibuya, you have to taste Habushu, a liquior from Okinawa with a snake in it...this will wake up a dead man ! Supposingly it is also used as medecine...

Duo composed of Parisian born Rico and Peruvian Steve, Wolf Story has made some serious noise this year with releases on Defected, Yoshitoshi and SimmaBlack. With their latest release "The Harp" dropped by Danny Howard on BBC Radio 1 recently, they are now getting requests from all the best imprints around the world. 

Following up on their remix of the Kerri Chandler classic "Keep Me inside", the dynamic duo is back on King Street but this time for an edit of Dennis Ferrer. "Dem People Go" features some nice piano riffs, exciting arpeggios and a subliminal afro house groove. African vocalist Bela Elbo delivers some engaged lyrics on the condition Africans have to go through. 

One of the most respected DJs in the galaxy already gave a very nice feedback: "I Loove the Dennis Ferrer remix" Laurent Garnier. 

"Dem People Go" will drop on King Street Nov 16th.

Miami based duo Steve Sanx and Rico from Paris are Wolf Story, the next act up on Get Physical Music.

Between them this pair has a rich heritage that dates back to the nineties and takes in running labels like Goldentears and Bimini Records and DJing with Popof. Together they have shaken the walls of clubs all over Europe as well as festivals like Movement. They starred on the Defected Ibiza 2018 Compilation and have had props from Kevin Saunderson, so are a well-established duo always making moves.

The gorgeous ‘Heart Love’ is suitably emotive, with dancing drums and glowing keys, soaring synths and expressive, dreamy vocals all uplifting your soul. The pianos are played with real feeling, and the string stabs only enrich things further to make this the sort of lush, open air house track to get hands in the air and the love flowing.

The second superb offering is ‘Between The World And Me’, which is just as impressively musical but on a more downbeat and introspective tip. Again fleshed out with beautiful chords and keys, bird calls and deeper drums play off while you wallow in the midst of this most heart-warming track.

Wolf Story really conjure up some magic here, on this latest gem from Get Physical Music.
