This Sahman Records episode brings you AKRATAS with this live set with tracks from all his latest releases. Akratas is the psytrance project of Nicolas, a dj/producer based in Stockholm, Sweden. A musician at heart, he learned to play guitar at an early age traveling through different genres like metal, funk and jazz. He found love for psychedelic trance by attending rave parties in the Swedish forests. The music and the rebellious and insubordinate spirit of the Swedish scene captivated him. Akratas tries to express the same disobedient attitude in his music. His tracks are hard-hitting, explosive and energetic. A full on psychedelic journey for the late night hours. LiFTSHiFT live @ Solstice - The Gathering 2024

MoDem Festival‬ in Croatia is widely considered one of the best, and most important, festivals on the psytrance calendar. It’s influence on the festival scene cannot be understated. When I started making this music, I promised myself that, before I was 30, I wanted to play on the Hive stage. Well, 5 days before my 30th birthday, I had the honour of doing just that. It did not disappoint, and it was the best dancefloor I have ever had the privilege of experiencing.

I decided early on that this was where I was going to debut my new album (forthcoming soon on Bom Shanka Music) and record the entire set. So, here it is – the full video of my set on Thursday 8th August 13:30-15:00 on the Hive.

Thank you to everyone that danced, everyone that filmed and everyone that gave me emotional support in the stress of finishing the tracks before the gig! CYLON  (BlackFlys)

CYLON is the Psychedelic Trance project of Takeo Namiki based on Japan.
His experience as a main guitar player from Heavy Metal/Hard Core/Funk/Loud Rock give him insights on his productions.
One day, he realized “I need to seek a musical platform which is a common style for all the humanity on our mother earth”. And then, he finally met and fell in love with this kind of dance music called psychedelic trance! It also seemed like there needed to be some more groovy sounds like funk music put into this kind of psychedelic music. So, he made a decision that “I’ll be with this scene till I die”.
The humanoid CYLON was born in 2011 for spreading out his DNA around the world.
He produces cutting-edge Progressive Dance tracks which combines the sound from Analog to Digital and Real Band music to the electronical cyber sound which will take you to the next level of the journey.
He has played on the main stage of mammoth festivals like Boom, Origin, Rezonance & Ozora, and always wants the audience to understand who they are, realize the energy they are emitting, and to find the balance to live harmoniously with other beautiful souls around them. 
Meanwhile, Californian eyewear brand “Black Flys” has been supporting CYLON as a part of the Fly Family since 2019. 
“Psychedelic, Dance, Groovy, Fractal and Life”. These five words describe the CYLON sound.
