Bilblast always had a genuine love for music from an early age. Music was instilled in him through his parents extensive record collection. Some of his influences consist of Marvin Gaye, Barry White, Issac Hayes, Ohio Players, Jay-Z, Nas, Tribe called Quest, and Big Daddy Kane to name a few.. “ Actually, the Rza influenced me to get into production. In 1994, I heard Wu-Tang’s Can It All Be So Simple, and I wondered who was behind the production? So I did some research and found out who produced it, and it was at that moment that I fell in love with hip-hop..” My brother Steve Penn was very instrumental with me becoming a producer because he had all the equipment (sp1200) and he showed me the ins and outs of the machine. From there I was hooked! As time went on my skills improved and I knew I could make a career out of music". Bilblast is certainly not driven by money. " I feel as though money should not be the motivation of your creativity. When you are too concerned with the money aspect, it will interfere with the way you create! Money should be the icing on the cake not motivation! After, years of studying his craft he's ready for the world to get a dose of what he has to offer.
