Big May is a rapper/songwriter/sound engineer/recording artist from south London. He found his love for music in the church where he also learned how to play the drums. By the age of 11 he started writing songs. During his time in secondary school he developed a liking for UK garage music and started Mcing with his peers. This lead to him making recordings on tape, He then decided to buy DJ equipment to further his musical talent and improve his recordings. At this point he formed a group with his cousin and a mutual friend, they started out by recording tapes together then went on to music production. They then started creating their own tracks, they also manage get a radio slot on a local community radio station where they hosted a show playing UK garage/grime as well as Mcing live. Once Big May had finished school he realised that music was the only thing he wanted to do so he decided to take up further education and study music technology. During this period Big May and his group (Big Boyz Entertainment) manage to get another radio show on a well known pirate station (Juice fm). A few years later Big May gained more industry and technical knowledge so he spent time in the studio making music. The other members in his group decided to focus on other things. In the last 3 years he has released an LP that was up for digital download, he has worked with many artists and producers all over the world and he is now a qualified sound engineer. Living in london and coming from a council estate has caused him to see an experienced various things that inspires his music, Music is his therapy.
