Awasa is a cultural marron dance where the people are deeply connecting on the dancefloor led by the drum rhythms created on the Apintie drum.
The rhythms are driven by pace and connecting the dancers with shake instruments on their ankles to dance gracefully and with power. 

NDYUKA podcast will always be rhythmic and cultural inspired. With this mix here i emphasized the power of the low-end rhythms alongside mysteriousness and some deeper sections to switch up moods but never lose energy.

After nearly a decade of experimentation in electronic music, Leeds/London-based Kessie has developed a distinct sound. Being hard of hearing, Kessie’s relationship with audio is a physical and vibrational one, reflected in her thumping off-kilter selections and intricate mixing. After a 12-months which has seen her play at Fold, Open Ground, Berghain and many more of Europe’s respectable clubs, expect to see Kessie’s penchant for the raw and cathartic in a dark room near you soon.
For now, get lost in this 1 hour mix, where Kessie accelerates to peak time mode with the use of pounding basslines and playful grooves hoping to trip you up every now and again.

Next up on the label we welcome a new member to the family, Cyprusian. 

Cyprusian is a DJ/Producer based in Leeds. Musically interested from a young age, outside of the DJ booth, he has multi-instrument experience - including electric, bass and acoustic guitars as well as drums and vocals. As a DJ he’s played throughout the Med as well as London venues such as Ministry of Sound, EGG, Lightbox and more. 

‘Beatz’ is a tough groove for the later floors. Deftly sitting between deep house and progressive, it’ll appeal to a wide range of artists with its strong sound design and killer energy. ‘Hair Like Fire’ goes off like a bomb. Raucous Reese bass engulfs the low end as the sparse percussion and sonics power the track forward.
