The tenth and final show in the Cyrk series ‘Pattern Compulsions’ curated for Resonance 104.4FM, is an exclusive mix by Lee Gamble…

Lee is a founding member of the UK-based CYRK collective and has curated/co-curated several Cyrk events. He has also produced and curated three radio series for London based radio station Resonance104.4FM and he continues to DJ. Lee has released his computer compositions on the Entr’acte label and has collaborated with composer John Wall and artists Yutaka Makino and Bryan Lewis Saunders.

Sour Deez said… “After years spent making the toughest computer music compositions around, Lee Gamble has recently surprised us by squeezing out a secret stream of wild, totally original dancefloor material that is part Actress, part Mr Fingers. His first EP of this style will soon be released on the exotic Alter Records. Birmingham producer Lee Gamble has dedicated the best part of a decade to this kind of inscrutable number crunching, and with the fizzy blitz of a second album Join Extensions it’s clear one is encountering a distinctive voice in the field of digital synthesis…”
Lee Gamble said… “…The configuration of material (ex nihilo) via various digital synthesis methods, prompts further digital disfigurations and reconfigurations. What you then have left is often the detritus or debris of an idea. Phantasms of both my previous and current musical, pseudo-scientific and sculptural influences are manifest as new material abstractions, created from the digital blank canvas. This pure abstraction allows several interests to appear in the works simultaneously…”.

Just Outside said… “..I may well be missing something but I’m hearing too much flash, not enough sinew.”

Lee has also recently remixed a track for the widely acclaimed Patten Album ‘GLAQJO XAACSSO’ and has also recently contributed a track – “RCLL Regularity Propuls” to the ∆ICASEA compiled “Benefit Compilation For Japan”.

Lee’s track ‘Decode Parms UCK Dub’ will be released in January on the Zelphabet Compilation. 2012 will see Lee releasing his second full album and an EP on Alter records is scheduled for February....
