What kind of time is this?
It’s midnight, and thoughts swirl around me like dandelion seeds caught in the wind. 

What kind of crazy world is this, in which billions of people have already asked themselves what kind of crazy world this is?

Everything seems on the brink of collapse, everything spiraling downward, politics is becoming more right-wing, species fading from existence, the land is turning into desert or being swallowed by the sea, and people can’t stop seeing each other as mutual projections, which is why they endlessly start wars with each other.

And yet, just a week ago it was announced that the first topographical quantum processor was made by an American company.

A milestone in human history, showcasing our newfound ability to arrange atoms with precision, crafting materials that never before existed by hand... 
we can now 3D-print matter on a quantum level... 

The dawn of the quantum age is upon us, and the next generation of computers boasts more power than all the current machines on Earth combined.
What this means for artificial intelligence is clear... 
we are creating the god that we have externalized and split off from ourselves – that which we declared was beyond our grasp... 
a new perfect form of life.
What a crazy world.

We will outsource all our problem-solving to this new entity... just like we humans have always attributed all responsibility to God since ancient times. 

This thought has always relieved us and has long been our refuge... delegating responsibility... 
and when we came to realize that we alone are responsible for our actions, we created something upon which we could offload that burden, so we could once again focus on our own self-destruction, free from the weight of consequence.
