(Original Mix)</a>Dantiez and Van Czar get us started with the deep
underground techno sounds of Aviate. These guys have worked very well together
in the past, they began their working relationship as a DJ duo playing a back
to back set at Legacy Festival (Belgium). Soon after they produced their first
track - The Force - with a little help from the Saunderson family (the
legendary Kevin and Dantiez's mother Ann). Released on vinyl, The Force was a
strong favourite for many with its retro vibe and pumping beats. Van Czar
continues to carry a huge workload in both production, label management and
DJing. He enjoyed great support on his debut album Ibiza Legacy and has
established a solid reputation on the techno scene. No doubt we'll be seeing
lots more from these two in the future. Aviate takes us deep into the techno
sound right from the off as pumping phat beats are laced with bassy tones
alongside crispy hats and shuffling percussions. Dark synth riffs litter the
sound against a backdrop of short vocal hits while the drum sections builds
into a cool rhythmic flow. The track ebbs brilliantly into a mesmeric display
of percussion arrangement that keeps you moving while the synth elements spark

Mix)</a>Portuguese DJ and producer
Diogo Tavares aka Protyv returns to CZ with the fantastic Parabolica. Having
debuted here with Organic, this guy has been instrumental in shaping the CZ
sound. He's also provided superb remixes on other CZ releases and we've no
doubt he will continue to deliver. Parabolica is a wonderfully crafted minimal
slice of techno that will get right under your skin with its hypnotic groove. A
simple note pattern stays the course of the track and is backed up with cool FX
and a pumping kick drum. Throw is some crispy hats and add a bit of a shuffle

Session RAW Dub Remix)</a>Van Czar is up next with
Terrence which is given the remix treatment by Swedish techno maestro Samuel L
Session aka Samuel Larsson. Samuel came to prominence in the mid nineties with
his unique tribal techno brand which was picked up instantly by many forward
thinking jocks. Over the years he founded and co-founded various labels that
provided some of the best sounds to grace many sets and his own back catalogue
is something to behold. He featured on Pure Tech 4 on Bonzai Basiks with a
remix for Jamez and Soulboy's Induction back in 2012 and he also provided the
remix on Van Czar's DET on KMS Records towards the end of 2015. Here, his RAW
Dub Remix gets down and dirty with a stunning deep techno groove. Pounding kick
drums are laced with low end basses and offset by crispy hats that deliver a
solid rhythm. Stabbing chords hypnotize as they fill up the groove, filtering
in and out to create some very cool textures. A fine display that will be a

Implicate Mind - Worship EP (CZ)
Based in Finland, Implicate Mind aka Russian producer Dmitri Soukhotski debuts on CZ with the brilliant Worship EP. His musicianship began at an early age with an upright piano in St. Petersburg, Russia. He was always the one to ask for some fresh music which at that time was traded and loaned at school on compact cassettes. His electronic music career began in 1998 in Bolinas, California using sample CD&iacute;s and a cassette 4-track. Working at recording studios in the Bay Area gave him a unique perspective on production while DJing part time in local music-bar venues. In 2001 he recorded in West Oakland under the title D The Light. Since 2005 he is recording as Implicate Mind in Finland. Musical influences are very wide with significant prominence of the Techno legends.

Up first we have the aptly titled Loop which delivers a mesmerizing and relentless pacey techno groove. Punchy kicks and bright hats sit over a groovy bassline while an arpeggio synth rattles along. A perfect tool for the more energetic sets.

Implicate Mind  - Loop

Cristian Monak aka Monako debuts on CZ with the sublime four tracker entitled Levogiro. Cristian started his career as a DJ playing tech and house sounds back in 2006 in clubs in the city of Pereira, Colombia. In 2010 he started to work on projects under his real name before he created Monako which took him in the direction of techno. Since then he has racked up an impressive release count on various labels thanks to his characteristic sound. We're delighted to have him on board at CZ.
Levogiro sets out with a solid, punchy kick drum against the backdrop of surreal FX and pads that deliver an almost haunting vibe. A deep bubbling bass lurks down below which is sliced open by sharp, cutting hi hats. Classic style syncopated chords notch up the rhythm beautifully making this an absolute must have for the tougher techno parties.
The Chopra takes us deeper into the techno abyss with a strong, driving groove. The intro lures us in before a punchy kick drum and shuffling hi hat take control alongside a space age bassline that captivates with intensity. The track transforms into a different kind of monster thanks that probing offset bass hit that gives the track a lift. This one will not disappoint.
If you thought you have heard deep dark techno before, think again. Dextrogiro goes deep, very deep. A solid bass tone sits under a muted kick drum while metallic sounds etch their way into your brain. A sinister vibe ensues that will definitely provoke your inner being, forcing you to move to the dark groove. Keep this one locked away until the small hours and then unleash hell.
The Criptex intros with a groovy bassline over a tight drum section that will get the feet shuffling to the floors for sure. A steady flowing rhythm comes through thanks to an array of shuffling hi hat patterns and cool percussions. The bassline branches out with its many probing tentacles, wrapping you up in its hypnotic grip while gritty synths follow through. A powerful cut that you do not want to miss.
