At a young age he started dj’ing at local clubs and events. With a love for the harder genres he
always brought something unique to his shows. After producing for 7 years and trying many
genres, he found that hard techno is where his heart lies. In march 2022 he picked up the ski
mask and on that day GWELD was born.
The name GWELD comes from the Dutch word “geweld” meaning: violence, and that is exactly
what he tries to bring to his music and dj sets. At his first gig as GWELD he closed Club BASIS on
a talent night. That gave him a big boost and now he plays shows trough the whole of
Netherlands and soon Germany.
In his music he uses melodic elements in combination with hard drums, his melodies and sound
design make for a melancholic sound. His biggest inspirations are Klangkuenstler, Viper Diva &
Kas:st. His tracks are already being supported by big names like: Trym, Dyen & Nico Moreno. Be
ready for a lot of collabs and solo tracks coming your way in 2023!
