The Dirt Band come from the bush but have their roots firmly planted in the alternative Australian music scenes of Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. 
Previous incarnations include The Splatterheads, Four Horse Town, Little Wonder, Thanks for the Fish and many more.
Their sound is intense, passionate and by turns a wall of sound , a country melody or a power pop tune.  they have 2 albums under their belt and currently recording number 3.

Cunting Daughters is the lovechild of an unholy trinity - Linda Blair from the Exorcist, Lydia Lunch and Hüsker Dü. The result is a post post punk/ no-wave assault of songs to purge and placate with a dreamy Xanax core. Cunting Daughters are Ruth McIver (guitar, voicebox, words), RUN LMC (bass, vocals) and  Cameron Potts (drums).

Kim is an inductee of the West Australian Music Industry Association Hall of Fame and The Age Awards Hall of Fame (Victoria). Originally aspiring to be a nuclear physicist, he was swayed by the sounds of rock’n’roll and became a Scientist.  

He was a founding member of the Scientists and the Beasts of Bourbon. These are bands whose reputations have continued to grow internationally, from their inception to long after they finished their careers. The Scientists are widely regarded as the frontrunners of the Seattle ‘Grunge’ movement.  

Kim has 3 WAMI Awards and has been inducted into the EG and WAMI Halls of Fame.

He has had songs synchronized into major films such as ‘Swimming with Sharks, ‘Looking For Ali Brandi’ and ‘Rocknrolla’.

Kim’s solo album ‘My Script’ will be released in March 2015 via his own imprint ‘Guilt Free Records’ in digital formats and distributed on CD by Rocket Distribution (Australia) and on 2xLP by Bang! Records (Spain).

We started this band as a group of friends because nobody else would put up with us. Paul writes the songs and we play them loudly and quickly. This could be a folk band if we didn't play them loudly and quickly. We are not a folk band.
Description
The D-Grades are an amalgam of punk, country, shanties done very loudly, whatever you call bands like Dinosaur Jr, raw energy, muted energy, convoluted energy, sound for the sake of sound, things that happen by accident despite accute planning, songs that might annoy you, weird takes on weird things, weird takes on conventional things...etc.

The diversity of their musical influences is evidenced not only through their compositions, but by the variety of stages these two artists have graced (from the Sydney Opera house to the Edinburgh Fringe) and the breadth of their musical collaborations which bends from Jazz alumni such as Helen Matthews to electronica artists of London’s dance music kingdom “Ministry of Sound’.
