Dream In Colour Kidz sink their teeth into some pretty heavy surf styled indie punk rock with the release of self-titled album, D.I.C.K. It’s been 6 months in the making and the band had to climb a bunch of hills on Fuck-Up Mountain to achieve every bit of sweet sounding rock it could take. Go back 6 months: the band was homeless, one member had a broken leg, but they were still recording. If your appetite for music shifts close to sadomasochistic voyeurism, you'll be happy you listened. Dave Ruby Howe (Triple J Unearthed) sums it up quite perfectly by calling it, "Herky Jerky Gutter Dwelling Punk".

The first track, ‘Sea Devil’, kicks everything off with a lone guitar, surfy drums and a mental-sounding pirate who is reading Moby Dick. If you’re afraid of the Sea and need to shake it off, listen to ‘With You’, before you jump back in and start ‘Bubbling’. Pain and Ice Cream is fourth in the batting order and can only be described as hardcore-pop mixed with happy punk. After the intermission, the last four songs kick it into gear and take it home with Skateboarding, Media Lies, Alien Abduction and Cask Wine (Goon) topics aplenty.
