Musik ist meine Heimat

Mein Alleinsein wird durchbrochen von maßgeschneiderten Frequenzen. Der wohlklingende Schall legt sich wie eine warme Decke auf mein Gehör. Negativität, Anspannung und Belastungen sämtlicher Art perlen von mir ab wie ein 
Sturzbach, der sich durch sein Flussbett katapultiert. Regentropfen benetzten meine Kleidung und Haut, doch mein Herz glüht unter den Flammen der akustischen
Freuden. 
Musik beschert mir Unabhängigkeit. Musik offeriert mir meine Freiheit auf dem Silbertablett. Musik ist und bleibt meine Heimat auf immer da.

Monkeyman feiert mit diesem Set seine Podcast und KataHaifisch Premiere. Dementsprechend groß war die Vorfreude und das Ergebnis verschlägt einem glatt die Sprache. The human race has lived and shared this space called Earth in the animal kingdom for millions of years but today, many cultures abandoned the idea that humans are animals like the others, they started to predate on Earth like if this place, our Mother Earth was their property, extracting it’s resources, changing it’s landscape, killing the other animals and destroying it’s balance.
So far, humanity has killed 83% of all wild mammals and half of all plants of the Earth. Two hundred species are going extinct every single day. We need to change so many things in areas such as the use of plastic, meat consumption, contaminating energies, day to day overconsumption and more. How could the artists raise awareness regarding this?”
Thinking on how to be simple but at the same time Universal, Cosmovision Records presents  ̈Animals of the Earth ̈. In this project we gathered to co-create an ecosystem that lives in a music album, where producers from many places on Earth tell us their personal stories with each animal, remembering that the condor, the rabbit, the deer, the frog and all the others are our partners in the long trip that this green and lively planet takes in the Universe.
We invite you to come with us on this journey through the musical ecosystem of the  ̈Animals of the Earth ̈ to discover, respect and value these magical beings that live with us.

Im Jahr 2018 folgte Jannes Preuß unwiederbringlich dem Ruf der elektronischen Musik. Ab diesem Zeitpunkt schenkte er einen Großteil seiner Zeit und Aufmerksamkeit dem DJing und der Musikproduktion. Um dieses Vorhaben zu realisieren, rüstete er kurzerhand sein Kinderzimmer in ein Studio um. Rasch fand Jannes seinen Flow und auf die ersten Sets folgte ein eigener Track. Aus einem wurden viele und auch sie trafen auf durchweg positive Resonanz. Jannes widmet seine Leidenschaft und Fingerfertigkeit Downtempo & Melodic Techno. Sein Style ist verträumt und verspielt, in Kombination mit der treibenden Rhythmik ein wahrer Ohrenschmaus für alle Genießer.

Blassblauer Punkt

Wie ein kleiner, blassblauer Punkt erscheint die Erde, wenn man sie aus den tiefen des Universums betrachtet. Unscheinbar und doch so schön. In dem Buch 'Pale Blue Dot: A Vision of the Human Future in Space' beschreibt Carl Sagan seine philosophischen Erkenntnisse über die Stellung der Menschheit im Universum. Von diesen Worten
inspiriert entstand folgender Track, welcher schlussendlich auch den Namen des Buches trägt.  Die Vorstellung, dass sich die gesamte Menschheit auf nur einem winzig kleinen Punkt im Universum abspielt, sollte Grund genug sein, sie als unser gemeinsames Zuhause anzusehen. Ein Zuhause, in dem aufeinander Rücksicht genommen wird, in dem alle an einem Strang ziehen, in dem man sich wohl fühlen kann und in dem Frieden herrscht. Was für ein traumhafter Gedanke, dabei ist es doch so leicht wenn sich jeder Mensch dem bewusst wird.

Weird Radio: Special Russian Mix for The Calvert Journal (Full)

On Solid Steel, we like to go deep and as part of our celebrations in Hour 2, we welcome DJ Scientist with Solid Soviet Steel Radio (SSSR), a special guest mix that solely features music from the former Soviet Union. The dedicated record collector, DJ and Equinox record label owner from Berlin managed to unearth and put together an extensive and fascinating selection of tracks from countries like the Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldavia, Russia and more, resulting in a unique musical adventure. The mix starts with a deep and slow psych part, coming up with more funk-laden Soviet grooves and killer instrumental breaks. Many of these groups managed to create their own kind of sound, mixing western styles like Jazz, Funk and Rock with traditional music from their own countries.
