Strut return to the archives of seminal Chicago house label Dance Mania in January for ‘Dance Mania: Ghetto Madness’. The follow-up to Strut’s acclaimed Dance Mania label retrospective ‘Hardcore Traxx’ from early 2014, this new installment places the spotlight on the raw, stripped back, hyper BPMs of ghetto house and the rise of the movement’s fresh generation of stars during the mid-‘90s including DJ Deeon, DJ Funk, Jammin’ Gerald and DJ Milton.

We slide silent, red-dot glow like a bank. *My mouth got exploits, tongue drop raw code, health bar full, no fear, They thought they finished me — I just reappeared. *Server cracked, I host the chaos, welcome to my wonderland,


 Sticky thumb on the pad, we loot up every street. Checkpoint saved, I’m a menace in the side quest, new clip make the opps gone.

 VPN in stealth mode, shroom vision panoramic, see the glitches in the road. Controller drift wild, pour juice on the D-pad, Every button stuck down, still I combo like a rehab. 

Underground market, trading saves for the quick stack, Lag spike teleport, I’m a ghost in the chat log, Undocumented loyalty — write my name on the backlog.
 I’m an outlaw with firmware,

 Squad linked co-op, turn the respawn to a nightmare. Shrooms got the sky pixelated like a load screen, trees breathing heavy, colors glowing in a gold sheen. cop lights glitch red-blue, chasing all my avatars. XP popping up, every puff is a level up,

 save point at the gas station, respawn at the bank.

 Glitch through the wall, fell straight into a new map, reality on pause, 


shrooms hacked it with a new patch.

 Detroit hustle,
 scam page,
 I’m modding up the gameplay, Reality lag spike, whole block on a new map,

 Voltaris punch-in, every bar feel like a loot stack.

 Pipes in my backpack, but I ain’t here to plumb drains,
 life feel like Tetris, I’m just tryna stack change.
 
Opps lookin’ holographic, like a rare Yu-Gi-Oh card, I shuffle through dimensions, every step feel bizarre.

 I’m Pac-Man with the munchies, eatin’ dots in the street lane, seen a frog on the curb, it said “ribbit” in Español, 

shrooms talkin’ back, whole universe on payroll. My Draco like a joystick, switch modes when I aim, bullets do parkour — had ’em jumpin’ like X Games. 

Faygo fizz glowin’, soda pop turn to lava lamp, shrooms got me moonwalkin’, sidewalk like a dance camp. Life a GameCube disc, I keep spinnin’ through the dirt, respawn in the gulag, came back to do the work.
