With his latest release LICIOUS Duan Wasi displays another facet of his artistic universe.

Displaying a grimy Lo - Fi Combination of sample based contemporary electronic dance music. Duan Wasi is pulling out all the stops, taking a deep focus on exploring other realms of LO-FI EDM Architectures and establishing his own Language of the Genre, that merge disco, funk, Jazz, Caribbean elements, African Elements, bossa Elements in a cinematic mood with a so called, French touch.

At the same time it is a reference and resuscitation, based on his own musical socialization in the 90s with artists like, tributing the Allan Brax, Bob Sinclair and of course Stardust / Daftpunk, recorded in a vintage, glowing, analog tape record mode by using substantial Hip Hop kicks and claps.
Experience in the Field of Hip Hop Production to "build-up" and "drop" Duan Wasi uses his dedicated production and sample techniques to display ones again his unique trademark Signature.

Finally, almost three years after the well-received Orange Wine EP, and three international tours, Okvsho is back with their fourth project “A place between us”. Georg and Christoph Kiss, the two brothers behind Okvsho, are showcasing a project that is more intimate and bolder than ever, offering an insight into their thoughts, feelings, and experiences during the last two years. The unique style Okvsho has become known for in recent years has once again evolved, combining organic and electronic elements with beautiful harmonies and expressive rhythms. 
Okvsho's second LP will also be the first full-length project to be released on the newly founded Zurich-based label Current Moves, with which the Okvsho-brothers aim to shape the young European jazz scene they are inspired by and also an established part of.

I was going through hard times during the last year and a half, and during those periods I made some stuff I wasn’t thinking of releasing at all. Then I lost my laptop, and a lot of my projects got lost in the void. These three are the ones I managed to find and rescue with the help of my friend Shhau, and this is literally my diary, but just a tiny surface of it; the rest will be lost in the void. What we get are just three pieces of musical compositions that will most probably accompany you while you’re living. For me, it was something different, which I still have a lifetime, hopefully, to find out, to express, and to let go. Anyway, enjoy! Life is short.

I had the pleasure to work with my friend Bart Wirtz on the saxophone and Samir Saif on trumpet to give these tracks a real jazz feel. All the drums are played on my jazz kit. For these tracks I was really inspired by the legend of jazz house music, St. Germain."
