Hello everyone, and welcome to Wednesday... this is the Il Modo Progcast, set sail with us around Planet Prog, as we search for those perfect dance floor beats! 

We have scheduled an internal flight today as we shift our focus to Sydney, and the home of an ex-pat Brit who has made Australia his home. Boasting a CV as impressive as they come, it is with great pleasure we introduce to you... Tristan Case! 

Tristan Case’s creative flame is burning bright in Sydney, Australia. The renowned, long-time Return To Rio resident DJ has been unveiling a series of stunning solo musical creations since 2020 to take his career to the next level. 

His first solo release, an epic 6-track EP titled ‘Chapter One’, released under Behrouz and Megan Nazari’s dream-weaving Do Not Sit On The Furniture label, hit number one on the overall Beatport release chart, along with the number one in the Organic House genre in November 2020. Since then Tristan has followed up with 12 top 100 tracks and two further Number 1 releases.  2022 and 2023 is looking very exciting for Tristan, with several releases and remixes already signed and confirmed on some of the global music scene’s finest & innovative labels. 

Tristan’s passion for House music was first ignited as a teenager living through the golden era of the DJ mix compilation album in the mid-90s. As a semi-pro drummer from a very early age,  he played the live music circuit in London and the South East of the UK. He taught himself how to DJ on vinyl at the age of 16, which opened his mind to the idea of pursuing a creative career.  From bedroom DJ, to tearing off the roof at house parties, and many years of dedication Tristan steadily established himself as a key figure within the Sydney scene. This resulted in him earning the enviable role as one of the main residents for Australia’s melodic and progressive house institution -  ‘Return to Rio’ in 2012, which continues to flourish to this day. 

Tristan is heavily relied on to consistently deliver flawless warm up & close sets for some of the globes heavy weights, such as The Martinez Brothers, M.A.N.D.Y, Jodie Wisternoff, Super Flu, Patrice Baumel, Sasha, Digweed, Anthony Pappa, Dirty South and many more. 
 
Tristan’s penchant is to build very emotive, melancholic yet positive storylines within his tracks, backed with a distinctly unique sound and powerful rhythm section, which results in incredible music that paints vivid pictures in the mind.

'Home is where the heart is'. A platitude often heard in realms other than music. But when it comes to artist and DJ Nathalie Henriette it indeed hits close to home. Replace Home with Music and Heart with Soul and we can soon see how things fall into place. Nathalie untangles all that into a personal statement: 'I Play what I feel, I feel what I play'.  When listening to one of her sets, whether it's radio, online, live or on Mixcloud, where she in no time gained top charting every single time, we can hear and feel exactly what she means.

As life happens it's up to the artist how to cope and transform something into an experience that ultimately makes sense. Nathalie Henriette is not one to hide from past life hardships and somehow, some way, manages to turn taste and skills into not only a melodic journey but a personal one as well. Not being restricted by set boundaries in today's underground dance music, she has found a unique way to translate all of that into a rather distinctive sound which transcends form, labels and genres.

2022 have seen her star rise and gain momentum. She's been featured on Frisky Radio, D.I. FM, Proton Radio and had appearances within the upper echelons of the progressive and underground dance scene. Her gigs, both in her native Holland and abroad, didn't go unnoticed and her monthly Exultation show on Saturo Sounds reaches an ever growing audience. The future for Nathalie Henriette and for those longing for a distinctive yet powerful and unique sound is looking bright indeed.

Around Us Invites Nathalie Henriette

Hello Everyone, welcome to PFG's infamous weekly podcast... This is your weekly trip around Planet Progressive, join us in search of the best dance floor beats and rhythms!!

A big part of the remit here at PFG, is to find talent that just needs a little push in the right direction, whether it be a mix or track that just needs highlighting to the rest of the world, that could help them on their way to something bigger. During the last couple of years, as the world was forcibly locked away and music came to save us, it was a chance meeting on a livestream that piqued PFG's interest in todays artists.

It took a while for us to finally find them and get a mix sorted out, but once you hear this, it will have definitely been worth the wait. Hailing from the wilds of Scotland, THIS is PTB! 

Pleiadian Tourist Board consists of Mairt Spencer & Ben Vorlick, who also team up with other collaborators on each track they produce. They first became interested in electronic music when a friend showed them their Synthesiser and Computer set up, this hooked them in almost instantly. At the same time they had also started listening to the Essential Mix on Radio One,  which like many of us got them transfixed into our scene and the music they were hearing. 
 
Add in a visit to the infamous Slam tent at "T In The Park" and then everything changed, ideas were formed, and PTB were born! Laterly, during lockdown, they headed towards Mixcloud, as this was one of the first sites to host Livestreams. They like us became huge fans of John Digweed's "Bunker" and Nick Muir's "Supa Tuesday". 
"This inspiration, along with the aforementioned Slam and Soma Records urged them to send a demo into Nick, who provided some production coaching and amazingly supported PTB during these livestreams!" That track is on this mix too...

PTB are planning further releases which feature more collaborations with other artists, keep an eye on your socials for these.

In the 2 years and more that the Progcast has been running we have never had a back to back DJ Mix, well thanks to our DJs today, we are about to put that record straight! Born and raised from both sides of the border here in Ireland, these two best friends have put together something very special indeed this week...

Hailing from Derry & Dublin respectively, Darren McMenamin & Colin Laird have been heavily immersed in the Irish dance music scene since the early 90s. After a chance meeting at a party in Dublin in 1999, the pair hit it off instantly through their shared passion for electronic music. 

What followed this saw many a weekend travelling to each others respective cities, playing at a variety of clubs & parties. The guys soon became the best of friends as they shared many musical experiences over the years. 

Over the last couple of years, by teaming up with their good friend Joe Doherty, the three now host their own monthly show, called Indoctrinate, on Saturo Sounds.  
Alongside this, Colly has teamed up with Joe to present a fortnightly show on Dublins Premier underground dance music station Phever.ie,  while Darren continues to DJ weekly all around the country and has also taken the plunge into music production too. 

Unbelievably, despite having played back to back countless times, this is the first time they’ve ever recorded a set together, and they can’t wait to share it with you!
