City Lights

Another year...another magical Sequoia Sunrise and attempt at making an hour of special listening. Throughout the pandemic I had acquired so much new music (one of the few things I could keep constant in my life). Also, thanks to the new Twitch world order I gained a desire (and a lot of newfound confidence in my ability) to play all kinds of music that I love and found ways to creatively transition through it all in the hours and hours of live-streaming. One goal of mine for this set was to be unpredictable in styles or selections (I got into purchasing/mixing records in quarantine and ripped some vinyl-only gems to MP3 to play ;)). I also played a mashup in this set that's technically my first edit ever that I made with @lhbrennan ! Although the main inspiration for this set was simply...what did I wanna hear blasting on our rented Funktion-One speakers? So hopefully that energy still caries over for future listens through this!

We grabbed this one from Ryan aka The Beat Broker a couple of years ago while inquiring about new music. We fell in love with "Pacific Break" immediately. Later that year our good friend Phil Mison was in town for a party we were hosting. We asked him if he would be interested in remixing it. Luckily he and Pete Herbert agreed and now we have the inaugural release on 180 Gram Vinyl to present. Please play and feel free to share. Available on 12” Single. 180-gram Black Vinyl Only.
