Recorded in Tokyo and New York, two of my favourite and most inspirational places (to me), Sunflower comprises 4 tracks which are a stand alone project, but an introduction to the debut Mall Grab album slated for a late 2020 release.

Emmanuel is going to start another adventure with a brand new project under the name ‘Stealth’, he’ll propose a few hi-tech and contemporary sounding productions, where he melt various styles that have been forgotten (but were very popular) in the past.

One of the coherent ways to interpret the whole sound of this EP is to get knowledge of the old-school and millennial electronic music genres, with the aim to revitalize and mix them with new sounds, introducing alternative influences like industrial and warehouse / rave oriented sounds. KUSP joins Rekids Special Projects with the rumbling ‘Freedom Of Fear EP’ this January.

The KUSP project, formed of two friends rekindling their love for electronic music, has seen the duo release on the likes of Suara, We Are The Brave, and Odd Recordings since 2018, picking up heavy support from the likes of Alan Fitzpatrick, Charlotte De Witte, Adam Beyer, and of course Radio Slave along the way.

Across ‘Freedom of Fear’, KUSP display their knack for crafting high intensity, uncompromising techno, perfectly fitting the criteria for the heavier Rekids sister label. From the evil-sounding ‘Circulus’ through to the grinding textures of ‘Xerox’, the duo never strays from the tried and test 4/4 across the five tracks, amassing a crushing array of dancefloor weaponry on a vital label breathing fresh ideas into the world of techno.
